2025 Guide

Non GamStop casino sites tend to advertise bigger bonuses than UKGC-licensed casinos, but the terms behind them are not regulated. Licensed UK poker rooms offer cash games and tournaments in Texas Hold’em and Omaha, and casino-style poker games such as Casino Hold’em or Caribbean Stud are available at many UKGC-licensed casinos. Poker rooms that sit outside GamStop are unlicensed for British players in the same way as casinos. The same studios, led by Evolution and Pragmatic Play Live, supply UKGC-licensed casinos with live roulette, blackjack, baccarat and poker-based games. UKGC licensees must offer deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion, show players their wins, losses and session time on slots, and participate in GAMSTOP.

Non GamStop casinos are not part of this scheme, providing a legal way to play if you are registered. GamStop is a free UK service that blocks you from all UK-licensed gambling sites. All the casinos not on GamStop on our list have 24/7 customer support, usually via live chat. But reputable, licensed non GamStop not on gamstop casinos like SpinDog or Vegas Hero have a business to run.

Assessing new casinos not on GamStop specifically

The quintessential Ancient Greek online slot, Gates of Olympus is a high-volatility Pragmatic Play title built around tumbling reels and random multipliers. Sites outside the scheme do not have to offer any of these, and they ignore a GAMSTOP registration by design. Offshore operators do not appear there at all, because the Commission does not license them.

• But reputable, licensed non GamStop casinos like SpinDog or Vegas Hero have a business to run.

These are normally triggered by the first deposit or a short series of initial deposits. Large promotional totals are common in casino advertising, but the usable value depends on the conditions. Confirm the operating company, privacy policy, licence record and payment ownership rules.

That said, none of these bodies connect the site to GamStop or insist on UKGC-specific measures, such as mandatory affordability checks or the prohibition on gambling with credit cards.

For UK players who have not been self-excluded, the most consequential losses tend to be the affordability framework and the stake caps. No UK player has been prosecuted for using a casino not on GamStop. It does not cover the National Lottery, land-based casinos (covered separately by the SENSE scheme), or any operator without a UKGC licence. First, GAMSTOP only covers online gambling licensed in Great Britain.
