My Dhul Hijjah and Eid al-Adha Activities​

Alhamdulillah this year, the blessed days of Dhul Hijjah and Eid al-Adha were very busy. Allah SWT gave me the opportunity to present and speak regarding Hajj during my program on television. On the Day of Arafah, I had the privilege of doing a program on Islam Channel Urdu. In the evening as well I did bayaan related to the Day of Arafah in the mosque and had Iftar at Maghrib. Many people were present in the mosque where Abdul Wasey Muhammad did recitation of the Holy Quran along with Naat e Rasool Maqbool.

After that, Eid day was also very good and occupied. I as Mufti Abdul Wahab offered Eid prayers, then spent time at home with relatives and children, had food. Though I had a flight to Pakistan on the evening of the second day of Eid. I reached Karachi airport on time, where my friend Farrukh Mazhar came to receive me, for which I am very thankful to him. Upon reaching Pakistan, I approached the sacrificial animals, fed them with my hands, and then performed the sacrifice. Later, I got a chance to have some rest and after getting fresh, I led the Friday prayer. After Friday prayer I attended a gathering which happens at my home for reciting durood shareef.

The next step was the visit to the suburbs of Karachi city and Fatani Goth, where the volunteers of Al Wahab Foundation had organised the Qurbani project for the most deserving ones. Alhamdulillah I distributed the sacrificial meat among them and provided them with cooked food. Then, we returned late in the evening to my brother’s house where all my siblings were gathered for Eid. Thus, the second day of Eid was also full of activities.

The next day we had a sacrifice of camels. Alhamdulillah, this practice has been going on for many years. We slaughtered the camels and fed the cooked meat to the people. This day was also very busy. I am thankful to all my relatives and friends who took care of me in Pakistan and especially to my nephew Fauzan who organised the sacrifices efficiently, which is why I could do so much in such a short time. Today Alhamdulillah I have reached back to London and now the routine life will start again. May Allah SWT keep all of you safe and happy. Ameen.

الحمدللہ اس سال عشرہ ذی الحجہ اور عید الاضحی بہت مصروف گزرے۔ اللہ تعالی نے حج کے حوالے سے ٹی وی پر پروگرام کرنے کی توفیق عطا فرمائی، یوم عرفہ پر اسلام چینل اردو پر طویل دورانیہ کی نشریات پیش کرنے کی سعادت حاصل ہوئی۔ پھر شام کو مسجد میں یوم عرفہ کے حوالے سے ہی بیان اور مغرب کے وقت افطار کی مصروفیت رہی۔ اس مجلس میں عبدالواسع محمد نے قرآن پاک کی تلاوت کی اور نعت رسول مقبول پیش کی جبکہ حاضرین کی بڑی تعداد نے اس محفل میں شرکت کی۔

اس کے بعد عید کا دن بھی بہت اچھا اور مصروف رہا۔ عید کی نماز پڑھائی، پھر گھر پر رشتہ داروں اور بچوں کے ساتھ وقت گزارا، کھایا پیا۔ جبکہ عید کے دوسرے دن شام کو میری پاکستان کیلئے فلائٹ تھی۔ میں بروقت کراچی ائیرپورٹ پہنچا جہاں ہمارے دوست فروخ مظہر صاحب مجھے ریسیو کرنے آئے تھے ان کا بہت شکریہ۔ پاکستان پہنچ کر سب سے پہلے میں قربانی کے جانوروں کے پاس پہنچا انہیں اپنے ہاتھ سے کھلایا پلایا اور پھر قربانی انجام دی۔ اس کے بعد کچھ دیر سستانے کا موقع ملا اور پھر نہا دھو کر جمعہ پڑھایا۔ جمعہ کے بعد ہمارے گھر میں درودشریف کا ختم ہوتا ہے اس میں شرکت کی

اگلا مرحلہ کراچی شہر کی نواحی بستیوں کا اور فتانی گوٹ کا وزٹ تھا جہاں الوہاب فاونڈیشن کے رضاکاروں نے بہت جانفشانی کیساتھ مستحقین کیلئے قربانی کا اہتمام کیا تھا۔ الحمدللہ اپنے ہاتھ سے ان میں قربانی کا گوشت تقسیم کیا اور پکا ہوا کھانا کھلایا۔ یہاں سے شام گئے واپسی ہوئی اور پھر ہمارے بڑے بھائی صاحب کے گھر تمام بہن بھائی جمع تھے جن سے ملاقات کی۔ یوں عید کا دوسرا دن بھی سرگرمیوں سے بھرپور رہا۔

اس سے اگلے دن ہمارے ہاں اونٹوں کی قربانی تھی۔ الحمدللہ کئی سالوں سے یہ سلسلہ جاری ہے۔ ہم نے اونٹ نحر کئے اور پکا ہوا گوشت لوگوں کو کھلایا۔ یہ دن بھی بہت مصروف رہا۔ میں ان تمام رشتہ داروں اور دوست احباب کا شکرگزار ہوں جنہوں نے پاکستان میں میرا خیال رکھا اور خاص طور پر میرے بھتیجے فوزان کا جس نے، اچھے انداز سے قربانی کا اہتمام کیا اسی وجہ سے میں اس مختصر سے وقت میں اتنا کچھ کرنے کے قابل ہوا۔ آج الحمدللہ میں واپس لندن پہنچ چکا ہوں اور اب دوبارہ سے روٹین لائف شروع ہوجائے گی۔ اللہ تعالی آپ تمام احباب کو سلامت اور خوش و خرم رکھے آمین۔

محترم قارئین: امید ہے کہ آپ خیریت سے ہوں گے۔ اس وقت صورتحال یہ ہے کہ ہر جگہ پر ٹائی ٹینک آبدوز کو پیش آنے والا حادثہ ڈسکس ہورہا ہے جس میں پانچ سیاح اپنی جانوں سے گئے۔ ان ہی میں شہزادہ داود اور اس کا بیٹا سلمان داود بھی شامل ہیں۔ مین اسٹریم میڈیا مین اس وقت یہی معاملہ اور اس سے متعلقہ ایشوز پر بات ہورہی ہے۔

اس میں کوئی دو رائے نہیں کہ یہ ایک المناک حادثہ ہے اور انسانی جانوں کے ضیاع پر دکھ فطرتی ہے۔ انسانی جان کی عظمت بہت زیادہ ہے چاہے وہ انسان مسلم ہو یا غیر مسلم ہو۔ چونکہ یہ معاملہ انٹرنیشل سطح پر بہت زیادہ ڈسکس ہورہا ہے اس لئے میڈیا بھی اس پر بہت زیادہ وقت صرف کررہا ہے دوسری جانب کچھ ہی دن پہلے یونان کے سمندر میں غیرقانونی تارکین وطن کی کشتی ڈوب گئی۔ اس حادثہ میں سینکڑوں افراد اپنی جان سے گئے۔ اگرچہ اس پر بھی میڈیا میں بات ہوئی لیکن کیا انٹرنیشنل میڈیا پر اتنی کوریج دیکھنے کو ملی جتنی ٹائی ٹینک آبدوز کو مل رہی ہے؟

دونوں جگہ انسان ہی جان سے گئے لیکن اتنا تضاد کیوں؟ یونان کے قریب ڈوبنے والے بحری جہاز میں وہ افراد سوار تھے جن کی آنکھوں میں بہتر مستقبل کے خواب تھے اور دوسری طرف آبدوز میں وہ افراد تھے جو ٹائی ٹینک کی باقیات کو دیکھنا چاہتے تھے۔ فرق صرف یہ ہے کہ امیروں کے خواب بھی امیروں جیسے ہوتے ہیں۔

تحریر کے درمیان میں ضمنا ٹائی ٹینک کا تذکرہ کردوں کہ دنیا میں جب سے شپ انڈسٹری قائم ہوئی ہے اس وقت سے جہاز اور کشتیاں ڈوب رہی ہیں۔  ٹائی ٹینک کا حادثہ ایک بڑا حادثہ تھے جس میں تقریبا دو ہزار افراد جان سے گئے اور تقریبا سات سو کو بچا لیا گیا۔ ٹائی ٹینک کے بارے میں اس لئے زیادہ لوگ جانتے ہیں کیونکہ اس پر فلم بنائی گئی۔ اب یہ بات بھی سوچنے کی ہے کہ فلم کی اسٹوری کی وجہ سے صرف ایک جوڑے کو ہی ہم سب جانتے ہیں۔ فلم میں فوکس بھی اس نوجوان جوڑے پر کیا گیا اور فلم دیکھنے والے تمام لوگوں کی ہمدردیاں ٹائی ٹینک میں موجود دو ہزار افراد میں سے صرف اس جوڑے کے ساتھ ہی ہیں۔ بقیہ کے بارے میں کوئی فیلنگز ہی نہیں۔ اس سے یہ بات بھی واضح ہوتی ہے کہ عام زندگی میں بھی اہمیت اسی کی ہوتی ہے جو کسی بھی طرح لائم لائٹ یا فوکس میں آجائے، دیگر افراد کے بارے میں کوئی بھی نہیں سوچتا۔

یونان کی کشتی میں جو لوگ جاں بحق ہوئے ان غریبوں پر کوئی فوکس نہیں اور انٹرنیشنل سطح پر تو اس پر توجہ بھی نہیں دی جارہی کیونکہ ان کے مرنے سے کسی کو کوئی فرق نہیں پڑتا۔ ہاں ان کے زندہ رہنے پر فرق پڑتا کیونکہ وہ تو یورپ کیلئے ذمہ داری بن جاتے۔ یہی وجہ ہے کہ پانچ امیر افراد جن کو یورپ یا انٹرنیشنل کمیونٹی اپنا اثاثہ مانتی ہے، ان کے مرنے پر بات بھی زیادہ کی جارہی ہے۔ وہ امیر تھے شائد اسی لئے ان کو اہمیت زیادہ دی جارہی ہے۔ حالانکہ انسانیت کا تقاضہ تو یہ ہے کہ دونوں پر یکساں افسوس کیا جائے اور ہمیں دونوں پر افسوس ہے بھی۔ مجھے یہ بھی حیرانی ہے کہ آبدوز کا سفر کرنے والے جو تمام پڑھے لکھے تھے، عقل و فہم رکھتے تھے کیسے انہوں نے سیکورٹی کے معاملات نظرانداز کردیے اور حفاظتی اقدامات کو یقینی نہیں بنایا۔ ان تمام باتوں کا تو اب تذکرہ بھی ہورہا ہے۔ دوسری جانب یونان میں جاں بحق ہونے والے تو ایجنٹوں کے ہاتھوں یرغمال تھے اور اب یہ بھی تمام باتیں سامنے آرہی ہیں کہ ایجنٹ پیسے لینے کے باوجود کیسا غیر انسانی سلوک کرتے ہیں۔

اللہ تعالی ہمیں حادثات سے سبق سیکھنے کی توفیق عطا فرمائے اور اپنی حفاظت میں رکھے آمین۔

Hope you are well. Today, I would like to address a recent tragic event that has been making headlines worldwide—the submarine disaster related to the Titanic. Five lives were lost, including Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman Dawood. This incident has rightfully garnered significant attention from the mainstream media and the public.

Undoubtedly, any loss of human life is a tragedy, regardless of one’s faith or background. It is natural to grieve over such incidents. However, it is crucial to reflect on the contrasting media coverage given to different tragedies. Just a few days ago, a boat carrying illegal immigrants sank in the Greek sea, resulting in the loss of hundreds of lives. While it did receive some media attention, it pales in comparison to the coverage dedicated to the Titanic submarine incident.

Both incidents involved the loss of human lives, yet there seems to be a major contradiction in the attention they receive. The boat near Greece carried individuals with dreams of a better future, while the submarine attracted tourists who wished to witness the remnants of the Titanic. The only discernible difference is that dreams of the wealthy tend to garner more attention.

It is’worth noting that maritime disasters have occurred since the advent of the ship industry. The Titanic disaster, although significant, is widely known due to its portrayal in a movie. Furthermore, the film focuses primarily on a young couple, causing viewers to empathize with them among the thousands on board. The majority of individuals’ stories remain untold and overlooked. This emphasizes the unfortunate reality that in life, only those in the limelight or in focus truly matter, while others go unnoticed.

The Impoverished individuals who lost their lives in the Greek boat incident are not receiving the same level of attention, both domestically and internationally. Their deaths seem inconsequential to the world at large. However, had they survived, they would have been perceived as burdensome liabilities by Europe. This biased treatment can be attributed to the fact that the five individuals who died in the submarine disaster were considered assets by Europe and the international community due to their wealth.

As human beings, we should extend our condolences and empathy to all victims, regardless of their economic status. It is disheartening to witness the disproportionate focus on the rich while neglecting the plight of the less privileged. Additionally, I find it astonishing that the submariners, educated and intelligent individuals, overlooked safety protocols and failed to ensure the passengers’ well-being. Similarly, the stories emerging about the inhumane treatment by agents towards those on the Greek boat highlight the disregard for human life, despite financial transactions taking place.

Let us pray that we learn from such accidents and prioritize safety in all endeavors. May Allah keep us safe and grant us wisdom, Ameen.

محترم قارئین: یونان میں جو کشتی کا اندوہناک حادثہ ہوا اور اس پر مختلف افراد کی اسٹوریز بھی سامنے آرہی ہیں ۔ انکوائری بھی کی جارہی ہیں ۔ معلوم کرنے کی کوشش کی جارہی ہے کہ کون کون اور کتنے لوگ اس بدقسمت کشتی میں سوار تھے۔

آج ہی میں نے صبح نیوز دیکھی تو معلوم ہوا کہ اس کشتی میں گجرات کا 14 سالہ معصوم بچہ ابوذر بھی موجود تھا اور تاحال لاپتہ ہے۔ اس بچے کے روتے ہوئے والدین کو ٹی وی اسکرینز پر دکھایا گیا۔ مجھے تو سمجھ نہیں آتی کہ نیوز چینل بین کرتے اور دکھی و افسردہ افراد کے جذباتی مناظر مسلسل کیوں دکھاتے ہیں۔ یہ ریٹنگ کی دوڑ میں مسلسل ہیجان انگیز مناظر دکھاتے ہیں جس سے اضطراب اور ڈپریشن میں اضافہ ہوتا ہے۔

اس کا والد کہ رہا تھا کہ اس نے مکان بیچ کر اپنے 14 سالہ بچے کو غیر قانونی طریقے سے ملک سے باہر بھیجا۔ کوئی اس سے سوال کرے کہ یہ ظلم کیوں کیا؟ جانا تھا تو خود جاتے، ایک نابالغ معصوم بچے کو یہ خطرناک راستہ کیوں دکھایا؟

آخر ہماری عقلوں کو کیا ہوگیا ہے؟ اس شخص نے کہا کہ میں نے اپنے بچے کو باہر بھیجا تاکہ وہ اپنے معذور بھائی کا علاج کروا سکے۔ آخر ہمیں کیا ہوگیا ہے؟ کیا یہ 14 سالہ معصوم بچے کی ذمہ داری تھی؟ اس والد نے اپنا بوجھ اپنے معصوم بچے کے کندھے پر ڈال کر اسے موت کے منہ میں کیوں بھیج دیا؟

اپنے ہاتھوں سے اپنے بچے کو موت کے سپرد کرکے اب آنسو بہانے کا کیا فائدہ ؟ یہ تو آپ نے خود کیا ہے۔

اس تمام افسوس ناک واقعہ میں جاں بحق ہونے والوں میں آپ کو وسطی پنجاب کے افراد زیادہ ملیں گے حالانکہ یہ تو نسبتا خوشحال علاقہ ہے۔ یہاں فیکٹریاں اور روزگار بھی موجود ہے لیکن پھر بھی یہ لوگ خود پیسہ خرچ کرکے اپنے لئے موت خرید رہے ہیں جو بہت افسوسناک ہے۔ اس کی نسبت آپ کو سندھ، بلوچستان ، جنوبی پنجاب اور سرائیکی علاقوں کے لوگ ایسا کرتے عموما نظر نہیں آئیں گے۔ باہر جانے کا شوق رکھنا برا نہیں  ، ضرور جانا چاہیے لیکن خدارا قانونی طریقہ اختیار کریں اور اس طرح موت مت خریدیں ۔

I am deeply saddened about the tragic boat accident that recently occurred in Greece, with more heartbreaking stories emerging as the investigation progresses. Authorities are working tirelessly to determine the identities and number of individuals aboard the ill-fated boat.

Today, I came across a distressing piece of news in the morning. It revealed that a 14-year-old innocent boy named Abuzar from Gujrat, was also present on the boat and is currently missing. The television screens displayed the disturbed faces of his grieving parents. It is disheartening to witness news channels continuously broadcasting these emotional scenes of sad and crying individuals. This relentless race of ratings by showcasing distressing visuals only exacerbates anxiety and depression among viewers.

Abuzar’s father mentioned that he sold their house and sent his underage son out of the country illegally. One cannot help but question the motive behind such a cruel act. If the intention was to migrate, why subject a minor, who is both innocent and vulnerable, to such a dangerous path?

What has become of our conscience? The father stated that he sent his child abroad so that he could support his disabled brother. But is it fair to burden a 14-year-old innocent child with such responsibilities? Why did this father place the weight of his responsibilities on his child’s tender shoulders, ultimately leading to his untimely demise?

It Is disheartening to note that a significant number of the victims hailing from central Punjab, a relatively prosperous region, lost their lives in this tragic incident. Despite the presence of factories and employment opportunities, these individuals chose to risk their lives by spending their hard-earned money in search of a better future. This reality is profoundly saddening. In contrast, we seldom witness people from Sindh, Balochistan, South Punjab, and Saraiki regions resorting to such extreme measures. While having a passion for going abroad isn’t something wrong, but I request you to choose the legal path and avoid purchasing a one-way ticket to death.

Let us pray that Allah shows us mercy in these trying times. Ameen.

محترم قارئین امید ہے آپ خیریت سے ہوں گے۔ میں پہلے بھی پاکستانی نوجوانوں کے غیر قانونی طریقے سے یورپ جانے کے موضوع پر لکھ چکا ہوں اور کئی لوگوں سے اس معاملہ پر گفتگو بھی ہوتی ہے۔ عموما لوگ تحریر پڑھتے ہیں اس پر کمنٹ کرکے اپنی رائے کا اظہار بھی کرتے ہیں اور بعض اوقات منفی تبصرے بھی کرتے ہیں جس پر حیرانی ہوتی ہے ۔

میں سفر کرتا ہوں اور اس کے تجربہ اور مشاہدے کی روشنی میں بات کرتا ہوں ۔ ابھی میں نے ترکیہ کا سفر کیا اس میں بہت سے افراد سے ملاقات ہوئی۔ یورپ کا بھی سفر کرتا ہوں اور وہاں موجود پاکستانیوں سے بھی ملاقات ہوتی ہے۔ لیکن یوں لگتا ہے کہ ہماری قوم کو کسی بھی بات کو سیریس لینے کی عادت نہیں رہی۔

میں نے پہلے بھی لکھا اور اب دوبارہ بھی غیر قانونی طریقے سے پاکستان سے باہر جانے کے معاملہ پر لکھ رہا ہوں۔ آپ کے علم میں دلخراش واقعہ ہوگا جس میں سینکڑوں لوگ اپنی جان سے گئے اور پاکستان کے وزیراعظم نے اس پر یوم سوگ کا اعلان کیا ہے۔ میری گزارش ہے کہ ہم تو مسلسل ہی سوگ کی حالت میں ہیں۔ پاکستان تو سال کے 365 دن ہی سوگ کی حالت میں محسوس ہوتا ہے۔ جب آپ دنیا کا سفر کریں تو عموما ان افراد سے ملاقات ہوتی ہے جو اپنے ملک میں جنگ، خانہ جنگی، بھوک و افلاس کی وجہ سے ہجرت کرتے ہیں اب ایسا لگتا ہے کہ خدانخواستہ پاکستان بھی انہی ممالک میں شامل ہوگیا ہے کیونکہ ہر جگہ آپ کو ایسے پاکستانی ملتے ہیں جو ملک کے برے حالات کی وجہ سے یورپی ممالک کو ہجرت کرنا چاہتے ہیں اور اس راہ میں مشکلات اور خطروں کا بھی سامنا کرتے ہیں ۔

حالانکہ یورپ اور دیگر ممالک کے بھی حالات اچھے نہیں لیکن پھر بھی یوں محسوس ہوتا ہے کہ ہر دوسرا پاکستانی اب ملک سے نکلنا چاہتا ہے۔ کچھ لوگ تو ویزہ لے کر آرہے ہیں لیکن بہت سے لوگ غیر قانونی طریقوں سے آنے کی کوشش کرتے ہیں جس پر میں مسلسل لکھتا رہا ہوں اور آپ میری گزشتہ تحریروں کو پڑھ بھی سکتے ہیں۔
ایسے افراد کا کوئی پرسان حال نہیں اور ان کی زندگی جانوروں سے بھی بدتر ہے۔ انہیں کوئی سہولت بھی دستیاب نہیں ہوتی۔ جب ریاست اور ملک آپ کو ایک عزت دار زندگی نہیں دے سکتے تو پھر لوگ ملک سے بھاگنے ہی کی کوشش کریں گے۔ لوگ 25 لاکھ روپے تک دے کر بھی کسی طرح ملک سے نکلنا چاہتے ہیں ۔

دوسری جانب اگر آپ انٹرنیشنل نیوز پر نظر رکھیں تو آپ کو معلوم ہوگا کہ وہاں کے لوگ غیر قانونی تارکین وطن کے خلاف مظاہرے کررہے ہیں اور انہیں ملک سے نکالنا چاہتے ہیں کیونکہ ان کے اپنے حالات ٹھیک نہیں ہیں اور ایک انسانی المیے نے جنم لیا ہوا ہے۔ اٹلی، یونان، ترکیہ ہر جگہ یہی صورتحال ہے۔

میں حیران ہوں کہ پاکستان کی حکومت کیا کررہی ہے؟ کیا وہ نہیں جانتی کہ یہ لوگ ملک سے کیسے نکل رہے ہیں ؟ جو پاکستانی ترکیہ یا لیبیا یا دیگر راستوں سے یورپ جانے کی کوشش کرتے ہیں وہ آخر ملک سے کیسے نکلتے ہیں اور وہ کون سے مافیا ہیں جو ان کی رہنمائی کرتے ہیں ۔ آخر حکومت ان کے خلاف کیوں ایکشن نہیں لیتی۔ میں ویڈیوز دیکھ رہا ہوں کہ خواتین اور بہنیں رو رہی ہیں کہ ہمیں پیسہ نہیں چاہئے اپنا بچہ واپس چاہئے۔ یہ بیس بائیس سال کے نوجوان آخر کیوں اپنی جان خطروں میں ڈال رہے ہیں اور کوئی پرسان حال بھی نہیں ۔

میری گزارش اپنے نوجوانوں سے ہے کہ خدارا اپنی اور اپنے گھروں والوں کی جانوں پر رحم کریں ۔ روکھی سوکھی کھالیں، ٹھیلہ لگا لیں کسی بھی فیلڈ میں محنت کرلیں لیکن اپنی جان کو خطرے میں نہ ڈالیں ۔ کسی بھی غیر قانونی طریقے سے باہر جانے کی ہرگز کوشش نہ کریں۔
روزی دینے والی ذات اللہ کی ہے انشاء اللہ وہ آپ پر رحم کرے گا۔

میں تو پاکستان کی اشرفیہ اور صاحبان اختیار سے مایوس ہوچکا ہوں کہ انہیں ملک کی کوئی فکر نہیں ہے۔ عدلیہ، اسٹیبلشمنٹ، سیاست دان اور بیوروکریسی بے حس ہوچکے ہیں۔ ان کے بچے تو نہیں مر رہے نا۔ مر تو قوم کے غریب بچے رہے ہیں جو اپنے گھر والوں کی حالت بہتر کرنے کا خواب آنکھوں میں لیے موت کو گلے لگا لیتے ہیں ۔
اشرافیہ کے بچے تو یورپ میں عیاشی کرتے ہیں اس لیے ان کیلئے یہ ایشو ہی نہیں ہے۔

سچ یہ ہے کہ دل خون کے آنسو رو رہا ہے۔ دکھ، افسوس اور غصہ سب کچھ ہےاور یوں لگتا ہے ہمارا کام اب صرف مرثیہ پڑھنا ہی رہ گیا ہے۔
اللہ تعالیٰ ہمارے ملک کے نوجوانوں کی حالت پر رحم کرے اور ان کی حفاظت فرمائے آمین۔

Dear readers, I hope you are well. I have written earlier on the topic of illegal migration of Pakistani youth to Europe and many people talk about it. Generally, people read the writing and express their opinion by commenting on it and sometimes they also make negative comments which are surprising.

I travel and speak in the light of my experience and observation. I recently travelled to Turkey and met many people. I also travel to Europe and meet Pakistanis there. But it seems that our nation has become used to not taking anything seriously.

I have written before and I am writing again on the issue of illegal exit from Pakistan. You must know the heart-breaking incident in which hundreds of people lost their lives and the Prime Minister of Pakistan has announced a day of mourning. My request is that we are in a constant state of mourning. Pakistan feels in a state of mourning throughout 365 days of the year. When you travel around the world, you usually meet people who have migrated to their country due to war, civil war, hunger, and poverty. There are Pakistanis who want to migrate to European countries due to the bad conditions of the country and face difficulties and dangers in this way.

Although the situation in Europe and other countries is not good, still it seems that every other Pakistani now wants to leave the country. Some people are coming with visas but many people try to come through illegal means which I have been writing about continuously and you can read my previous writings.

Such people live in no happy situation and their life is worse than animals. They do not get any facilities. When the state and the country cannot give you a dignified life, then people will try to run away from the country. People want to get out of the country by paying up to 25 lac rupees.

On the other hand, if you follow the international news, you will know that people living there are protesting against illegal immigrants and want to get them out of the country because their own conditions are not good and a human tragedy has come to life. It’s the same situation in Italy, Greece, and Turkey as well.

I wonder what the government of Pakistan is doing in this case. Does the government not know how these people are leaving the country? Those Pakistanis who try to go to Europe from Turkey or Libya or other routes, how do they finally leave the country and what are the mafias that guide them? Why doesn’t the government take action against them? I watch videos of women and sisters crying that they don’t want money, they want their children back. Why are these twenty-two-year-old youths putting their lives in danger when there is no hope?

My request to our youth is that have mercy on their lives and those of their families. It’s better to live a simple life, put up a stall, or work hard in any field but don’t risk your life. Never try to get out by any illegal means. Sustenance belongs to Allah, God willing, He will have mercy on you.

I am disappointed with the elite class of Pakistan and those in authority they do not care about the country. Judiciary, establishment, politicians, and bureaucracy have become numb. Their children are not dying. There have been poor children of the nation, who embrace death with the dream of improving the condition of their families. Children of the aristocracy have fun in Europe, so this is not an issue for them.

The truth is that my heart is crying tears of blood. Sadness, regret, and anger are in my heart and it seems that our task now is only to recite the eulogy.

May Allah have mercy on the condition of the youth of our country and protect them, Ameen.

مدینہ منورہ کا سفر

(پہلی قسط۔۔۔۔)

اللہ تبارک وتعالیٰ کا میرے اوپر خصوصی فضل وکرم ہے کہ جس نے مجھے مقامات مقدسہ کی بار بار زیارت کا شرف نصیب فرمایا ہے۔ جن میں حرمین شریفین اور مسجد اقصی شامل ہیں، ہر سال کئی مرتبہ میرا وہاں جانا ہوتا رہتا ہے۔ جب پہلی دفعہ مینے حرمین شریفین کا سفر کا کیا تو اس وقت میری عمر تقریباً 15 برس تھی، اور وہ پاکستان سے بیرون کا میرا پہلا سفر تھا۔ وہ سفر اس لیے بھی انتہائی یادگار تھا کہ مینے اپنے اساتذہ کے ساتھ سفر کیا تھا، جس میں حضرت مولانا سعید صاحب، حضرت مولانا عبد الرؤف صاحب، میرے شیخ ومربی حضرت مولانا یحییٰ مدنی صاحب، شاہد بھائی صاحب، اور دوسرے دوست واحباب شامل تھے۔ اللہ تعالی نے اسی سفر کی برکت کی وجہ سے حرمین شریفین کی محبت کو میرے دل میں ڈال دیا، اسی سفر سے مجھے بہت کچھ سیکھنے کو ملا اور روحانی فیض حاصل ہوا۔ میں سمجھتا ہوں کہ آج جو میں دین کا کام کر رہا ہوں یہ اسی سفر کی ہی برکت ہے۔ اللہ تعالیٰ نے اسی سفر کی برکت کی وجہ سے دنیا کے کافی ملکوں کا سفر کروایا اور اپنی قدرت کی نشانیاں دیکھنے کا موقع عنایت فرمایا۔

 اس سفر کا کچھ حصہ شعبان میں اور کچھ رمضان المبارک میں تھا۔ اسی سفر کے دوراں جب رمضان کا مہینہ شروع ہوا تو اندازہ ہوا کہ رمضان میں مدینہ منورہ اور مکۃ مکرمہ کی کیفیات ہی الگ ہوتی ہیں، ماحول انتہائی پر نور ہوتا ہے، سحر وافطار، تراویح وعبادات کے مسحور کن مناظر ہوتے ہیں۔ پھر 1988 میں تو ماحول آج سے انتہائی مختلف تھا، فطری اور نیچرل ماحول تھا آج کی طرح کوئی بڑی بڑی بلڈنگیں نہیں تھیں، نا ہی آج کی طرح رش تھا۔ حرمین شریفین میں رمضان المبارک کے مہینے گزارنے کا لطف ہی کچھ اور ہوتا ہے۔ وہاں کی کیفیات اور احساسات کو الفاظ میں پرونا نا ممکن ہے۔ میرے اس پہلے سفر کے بعد پڑھائی چلتی رہی۔ زندگی کے کئی نشیب و فراز آئیں، کافی بہاریں بیت گئی، سالوں پر مشتمل سفر طے ہوا، زندگی کہاں سے کہاں لے گئی، پھر ایک بار دوبارہ حرمین شریفین کا ایک سفر ہوا، عمرہ ادا کیا، پھر حج کیا۔ لیکن حرمین شریفین میں رمضان گزارنے کا موقع نہیں ملا۔ ٹی وی پروگرامز اور بیانات کی وجہ سے پورا رمضان انتہائی مصروفیت سے گزرتا تھا۔ لیکن گزشتہ سال آخری عشرے میں اپنے آپکو فارغ کر کے عمرے کا سفر کیا، اور پھر پکا ارادہ کیا کہ ہر سال ان شاءاللہ رمضان المبارک میں حرمین کا سفر کرونگا۔ اس سال بھی اللہ تعالیٰ نے یہ سعادت نصیب فرمائی۔ جیسے ہی رمضان المبارک شروع ہوا تو تیاری شروع کر دی، ٹکٹ اور ہوٹلز کی معلومات لینی شروع کر دیں، جب چیک کیا تو دیکھا کہ ہوٹل اور ٹکٹ کے ریٹ انتہائی مہنگے تھے۔ مینے اور میرے اسفار کے رفیق فضل ثانی صاحب نے کسی سستے روٹ سے ٹکٹ حاصل کرنے کی کوشش شروع کر دی، پھر میرے بیٹے عبد الواسع محمد بھی تیار ہو گئے۔ جس کی خوشی بھی انتہائی دیدنی تھی، مجھے اس کی یہ عادت بہت پسند آئی کہ اس نے اپنے نانو، اور دوسرے دوستوں کو بتانا شروع کر دیا تھا کہ میں عمرے کیلئے جا رہا ہوں، اور میرا دل چاہتا ہے کہ میں بیت اللہ کے سامنے کھڑے ہوکر نماز ادا کروں۔ روضہ رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے سامنے بیٹھ کر افطار کروں۔ وہ پہلے جا چکا ہے لیکن اس وقت اس کی عمر بہت چھوٹی تھی۔ جب مینے اس کے شوق وجذبے کو دیکھا تو اسے بھی ساتھ لے جانے کا عزم کر لیا۔ پھر ہم نے اٹلی کے راستے ریاض کیلئے ٹکٹ بک کروالی۔ بعد میں عبد الواسع محمد نے میرے چھوٹے بھائی سیماب کو بھی تیار کر لیا جو ۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔ رہتے ہیں۔ اسی طرح سہیل ضرار خلش صاحب اور سعید کانپوری صاحب بھی ہمارے رفیق سفر بن گئے، ہم نے انکی بھی ٹکٹ خرید لیں، بعد میں کافی دوستوں نے ساتھ جانے کی خواہش کا اظہار کیا لیکن اتنے لوگوں کو ساتھ لے جانا ممکن نہیں تھا۔

 اکیسویں رمضان کو الوھاب فاؤنڈیشن کی ٹی وی اپیل کا پروگرام کیا اور 13 اپریل کو جمعرات کو لوٹن ایئرپورٹ سے صبح 6 کی فلائٹ سے اٹلی کے شہر سیسلی کیلئے اڑان بھری، تین گھنٹے کی فلائٹ کے بعد ہم سیسلی پہنچ چکے تھے، پھر وہاں پر ہمارا تین گھنٹے اسٹاپ تھا، جو سیلف ٹرانسفر تھا، جس کا مطلب یہ ہوتا ہے کہ آپ پہلے ملک میں انٹری کرتے ہیں، اور پھر دوبارہ ایگزیٹ کی مہر لگواتے ہیں، پھر دوبارہ سے آپکو بورڈنگ کارڈ لینا ہوتا ہے۔ الحمد للّہ یہ مرحلہ بھی انتہائی خوش اسلوبی سے انجام پایا۔ کچھ لمحوں میں ایئرپورٹ سے باہر نکلے، موسم انتہائی خوشگوار تھا۔ اور یہ وہی سیسلی کا شہر تھا جہاں کبھی مسلمانوں کی حکومت تھی، ہم نے اس شہر کا فضائی منظر دیکھا جو بہت ہی دلکش اور پر سحر تھا. واپس ہم نے سیسلی کے ایئرپورٹ سے ریاض کیلئے فلائٹ لی، جب ہم ریاض ایئرپورٹ پر پہنچے تو وہاں افطار کا ٹائم تھا۔ ہم نے جہاز میں ہی افطار کیا اور لینڈ کر کے مغرب کی نماز ادا کی۔ جب ایمیگریشن مراحل سے فارغ ہوئے تو سعید کانپوری صاحب کے ماموں ایئرپورٹ سے باہر ہمارے انتظار میں تھے۔ وہ ریاض میں ہی رہتے ہیں، اور بہت ہی نفیس انسان ہیں۔ وہ ہمیں رسیو کرنے کے ساتھ ساتھ ہماری ضیافت کا سامان بھی لائے تھے، جس میں پکوڑے، جوس اور دوسری چیزیں شامل تھیں۔ ہم ایئرپورٹ سے نکل کر انکی گاڑی میں بیٹھ گئے، ان کے گھر پہنچے، انہوں نے ہماری خاطر خواہ تواضع کی، اور ضیافت کا خوب اہتمام کیا۔ وہ رات ہم نے ریاض میں ہی قیام کیا۔ تیئیس رمضان المبارک کی رات تھی، کھانے کے بعد ہم باہر نکلے کچھ دیر ریاض شہر کا نظارہ کیا۔ اور ایک سپر اسٹور سے سحری کیلئے دہی اور کچھ دوسری چیزیں خریدیں پھر واپس آئے رات کا کچھ حصہ عبادت میں مصروف رہے۔ سحری کا ٹائم ہوا، سحری کی اور صبح کی نماز ادا کی۔ صبح 6 بجے ہماری ریاض سے مدینہ منورہ کیلئے فلائٹ تھی۔ ہم نے سحری کے فورا بعد فلائٹ کی تیاری، پھر ریاض ایئرپورٹ کا رخ کیا جہاں فلائٹ اپنے ٹائم پر موجود تھی، صبح 6 بجے کو جہاز نے اڑان بھری اور ٹھیک ایک گھنٹے بعد صبح 7 بجے کو ہم مدینہ منورہ کی پر نور فضاؤں میں موجود تھے۔ جہاز نے جمعۃ المبارک صبح سات بجے مدینہ ایئرپورٹ پر لینڈ کیا، اور یہی جمعۃ الوداع بھی تھا۔

Episode 1: A Blessed Beginning

I have been granted the extraordinary privilege of visiting holy places by the special grace and honour of Allah Ta’ala. Among these sacred sites are the Haram Sharif and Al-Aqsa Mosque, which I have the opportunity to visit multiple times each year. My first journey to the Haram Sharif holds a special place in my heart, as it marked my initial venture beyond the borders of Pakistan. Accompanied by my esteemed teachers, including Hazrat Maulana Saeed Sahib, Hazrat Maulana Abdul Rauf Sahib, my Sheikh and mentor Hazrat Maulana Yahya Madani Sahib, Shahid Bhai Sahib, and other friends and relatives, this trip was a memorable experience.

During this pilgrimage, my love for Haramain Sharifain was etched into my heart, and I gained invaluable spiritual blessings and knowledge. I attribute my present endeavors to the blessings bestowed upon me during this journey. Allah, in His infinite wisdom, facilitated my travels to numerous countries worldwide, allowing me to witness the magnificent signs of His power.

The journey to Madinah Munawarah took place partly in the month of Shaban and partly in Ramadan. As Ramadan commenced, I realized the distinctiveness of Madinah Munawarah and Makkah Mukarramah during this blessed month. The atmosphere was permeated with light, and enchanting scenes of Sehr and Iftar, Taraweeh prayers, and devotion adorned the surroundings. Reflecting upon the year 1988, the environment differed significantly from today’s bustling cityscape, as natural surroundings prevailed without towering structures. Experiencing the month of Ramadan in Haram Sharif was an indescribable delight. Words fail to capture the ambiance and emotions that enveloped me during this time.

Following my initial trip, life’s journey unfolded with its twists and turns, passing through countless springs and seasons. Several years elapsed, leading me down diverse paths. Yet, a longing persisted to return to the Haramain Sharifeen, to perform Umrah and eventually Hajj. Unfortunately, the opportunity to spend Ramadan in Haram Sharif eluded me due to television commitments and public engagements. However, last year, after a decade-long hiatus, I freed myself from prior obligations and embarked on an Umrah journey, firmly resolving to make it a yearly tradition.

This year, by the grace of Allah Ta’ala, we were blessed with the happiness of visiting Haram during Ramadan once again. As soon as Ramadan commenced, I initiated the preparations, gathering information about tickets and accommodations. However, I discovered that the rates for hotels and flights were exorbitant. My travel companion, Fazal Sanni Sahib, and my son, Abdul Wasay Muhammad, eagerly joined me in the search for more affordable options. Abdul Wasay’s excitement was profound, as he eagerly shared the news with his grandmother and friends, yearning to pray before the Kaaba and break his fast in the presence of the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) shrine. Although he had accompanied me on a previous journey when he was very young, witnessing his enthusiasm prompted me to include him in this pilgrimage. Consequently, we booked tickets to Riyadh via Italy. In addition, my younger brother, Seemab, residing in [location], and two other companions, Sohail Zarar Khalish and Saeed Kanpuri, also joined us on this sacred voyage. We arranged their tickets, while many other friends expressed their desire to accompany us, unfortunately, due to constraints, it was not feasible to accommodate everyone.

On the 21st of Ramadan, we organized a TV appeal for the Al-Wahab Foundation. Then, on Thursday, April 13, at 6 am, we boarded a flight from Luton Airport to Sicily, Italy. After a three-hour journey, we arrived in Sicily. With a three-hour stopover, which involved self-transfer procedures, we obtained the entry and exit stamps before acquiring our boarding cards once again. Alhamdulillah, this phase proceeded smoothly. Stepping out of the airport, we were greeted by pleasant weather. Sicily, once ruled by Muslims, showcased captivating aerial views of the city’s charming landscapes. We then departed from Sicily Airport, bound for Riyadh. As we landed in Riyadh, it was time for Iftar. We broke our fast in the airplane and performed the Maghrib prayer upon arrival. Upon completing the immigration process, we were received by Saeed Kanpuri’s maternal uncle, a hospitable resident of Riyadh. He warmly welcomed us and arranged a delightful meal comprising fritters, juices, and other delectable items. We departed from the airport in his car, arrived at his residence, where he continued to shower us with gracious hospitality. We spent the night in Riyadh, which coincided with the 23rd night of Ramadan. After the meal, we ventured out to explore the city of Riyadh briefly, purchasing yogurt and other suhoor essentials from a supermarket before returning to engage in worship throughout the night. As suhoor time approached, we participated in a pre-dawn meal and offered the morning prayer. At 6 am, our flight from Riyadh to Medina commenced. Following suhoor, we swiftly prepared for the flight and made our way to Riyadh Airport. Our flight departed promptly at 6 am, and precisely one hour later, at 7 am, we basked in the gentle air of Madinah Munawarah. The plane gracefully touched down at Madinah Airport on the auspicious Friday morning, coinciding with Jumu’ah Al-Wada.

The Trending Abdul Qadir Baba

Dear Readers,

In the last days of Ramadan, Abdul Qadir Sahib’s video went viral on social media. He received a lot of appreciation because of his simple attire. I also wrote that may Allah keep him safe and bless him with more respect.

Undoubtedly, the love of Haramain dwells in the heart of each of us.

One bad thing about us is that we commercialise everything. According to the new videos now surfacing, people are going to this old man. They are getting him to utter an incantation for them, bestowing him with garlands, and interviewing him. Even the simple old man is worried about what is going on. Housing societies and other business people are going to him to sell their stuff, gain cheap fame, and use them to do their own business.

I also think that Baba Ji will not even know which opportunists are using him and how long this will continue. Now donations will start in this regard. He will be considered as a Saint, his shrine will be established, and after the death of Baba Ji, his shrine will be erected. Furthermore, even his successors have also started appearing. What is this all going on? We, the people, should think.

We should always uphold our beliefs. Nothing is more important than that. The dress and simplicity Baba Ji became famous for can be commonly seen all over Sindh and Balochistan. I personally know many people who have been saving for a long time due to poverty and become eligible to travel to Haramain after selling their land and other things. It is a blessing that I have made many such people travel to Haramaain and also met many like that in Madina Munawara and Makkah.

However, when it comes to us, even someone’s simplicity is misused, and then the results aren’t positive for that. Still, God willing, no new sect or series should be attributed to this old man. May Allah Almighty, the condition of our Ummah, have mercy on us. Ameen.

رمضان المبارک کے آخری ایام میں سوشل میڈیا پر عبدالقادر صاحب کی ویڈیو وائرل ہوئی۔ انہیں ان کے سادہ لباس کی وجہ سے بہت پزیرائی ملی۔ میں نے بھی ان دنوں لکھا کہ اللہ انہیں اپنی امان میں رکھے اور مزید عزت سے نوازے۔

یقیناً حرمین کی محبت ہم میں سے ہر ایک کے دل میں بستی ہے۔ ہمارے ہاں ایک برائی یہ ہے کہ ہم ہر چیز کو کمرشلائز کردیتے ہیں ۔ اب جو نئی ویڈیوز سامنے آرہی ہیں کہ لوگ ان بابا جی کے پاس جا رہے ہیں ۔ ان سے دم کروا رہے ہیں ۔ ہار پہنا رہے ہیں ان کے انٹرویوز لیے جارہے ہیں۔ اس سے وہ سادہ لوح بزرگ خود بھی پریشان ہیں کہ یہ کیا ہورہا ہے۔ اپنا سامان بیچنے والے اور سستی شہرت حاصل کرنے کیلئے ہاؤسنگ سوسائٹی والے اور دیگر کاروباری افراد بھی ان کے پاس جارہے ہیں اور انہیں اپنا چورن پیچنےکے لئے استعمال کر رہے ہیں۔

میرے خیال میں بھی بابا جی کو تو معلوم ہی نہیں ہوگا کہ کون کون سا موقع پرست ان کو کیسے استعمال کررہا ہے اور یہ سلسلہ نجانے کب تک جاری رہےگا اب اس سلسلہ میں چندہ شروع ہوجائے گا، اسے پیری مریدی کا رنگ دیا جائے گا، ان کا آستانہ قائم کیا جائے گا اور بابا جی کے انتقال کے بعد ان کا مزار قائم کردیا جائے گا۔ ابھی سے ان کے ولی عہد اور خلیفہ بھی میدان میں آچکے ہیں ۔ یہ کیا طریقہ ہے آخر؟ ہم لوگوں کو سوچنا چاہئے ۔
ہمیں اپنے عقائد کو ہمیشہ مقدم رکھنا چاہیے اس سے اہم کچھ نہیں ۔ جس لباس اور سادگی کی وجہ سے بابا جی مشہور ہوئے وہ آپ پورے سندھ اور بلوچستان میں عام دیکھیں گے۔ میں ذاتی طور پر ایسے بہت سے افراد کو جانتا ہوں جو غربت کی وجہ سے بہت عرصہ پیسہ جمع کرتے ہیں اور اپنی زمین اور دیگر اشیاء بیچ کر حرمین کا سفر کرنے کے قابل ہوتے ہیں ۔ تحدیث نعمت کے طور عرض کررہا ہوں کہ ایسے کتنے ہی افراد کو میں بھی حرمین کا سفر کروا چکا ہوں اور ایسے کئی افراد سے مدینہ منورہ اور مکہ میں ملاقات بھی کرچکا ہوں ۔

لیکن ہمارے ہاں یہ ہوتا ہے کہ کسی کی سادگی کو بھی غلط استعمال کیا جاتا ہے اور پھر اس کے نتائج اچھے برآمد نہیں ہوتے۔ اب بھی خدانخواستہ ان بابا جی سے کوئی نیا فرقہ یا سلسلہ ہی منسوب نا کردیا جائے ۔ اللہ تعالیٰ ہماری امت کے حال پر رحم کرے آمین ۔

A Memorable Interview of Former Crown Prince of Jordan, Hassan Bin Talal

Dear readers, it is so unfortunate that I don’t want to do or write anything these days. It might be because of my sickness.

After many days I got an opportunity to watch an interview with a world leader and was surprised how there are leaders with great vision in the Muslim Ummah, but we are not very familiar with them. At first, the content was not much understandable due to a lack of familiarity with the English language. Now we have become so familiar with this language that the content broadcasted and printed in it can be understood, Alhamdulillah.

By the way, it is not possible to watch TV regularly for a long time, and I don’t want to watch the news at all, but sometimes I watch Al-Jazeera or TRT news for a while in the morning so that I can get to know and understand something new. Yesterday too, TRT, a Turkish news channel, was switched on, and a beautiful person was sitting there talking to a scholar, and it was very nice to see him. Their conversation was outstanding, and I thought I might recognize them. After listening for some time, I learned he is the former Crown Prince of Jordan, Hassan Bin Talal.

His interview was fantastic, and I will write a separate article on it.

Prince Hasan Bin Talal may not be recognized by the youth of today. His relationship with Pakistan has also been profound. Sarwat Ikramullah, the youngest daughter of Pakistan’s former foreign secretary Ikramullah, was born in 1947 and received her higher education in Britain. Meanwhile, Prince Hasan was also studying there, so they met there and got married in August 1968. This marriage was also interesting and took place with great fanfare. محترم قارئین آج کل کچھ بھی کرنے اور لکھنے کو دل نہیں چاہ رہا۔ شائد طبعیت کی ناسازی کی وجہ سے یہ کیفیت ہے۔

بہت دنوں بعد مجھے کسی عالمی لیڈر کا انٹرویو دیکھنے کا موقع ملا اور حیرانی ہوئی کہ امت مسلمہ میں کیسے عظیم ویژن رکھنے والے لیڈرز موجود ہیں لیکن ہم ان سے زیادہ واقف نہیں۔ پہلے تو انگریزی زبان سے عدم واقفیت کی وجہ سے اکثر مواد آنکھوں سے اوجھل رہتا تھا لیکن اب اس زبان سے اتنی واقفیت تو ہوگئی ہے کہ اس میں نشر ہونے والا اور چھپنے والا مواد سمجھ آجائے الحمدللہ۔

ویسے تو بہت عرصہ سے باقاعدگی سے ٹی وی دیکھنا ممکن نہیں اور نیوز تو بالکل ہی دیکھنے کو دل نہیں چاہتا لیکن کبھی کبھی صبح کے وقت کچھ دیر کیلئے الجزیری یا ٹی آر ٹی نیوز دیکھ لیتا ہوں تاکہ کچھ نیا دیکھنے اور سمجھنے کو مل سکے۔ کل بھی اسی طرح ٹی آر ٹی جو کہ ترکی کا نیوز چینل ہے وہ لگایا تو وہاں ایک خوبصورت شخصیت بیٹھی علمی اندز سے گفتگو کررہی تھی اور دیکھ کر بہت اچھا لگا۔ ان کی گفتگو بہت اچھی تھی اور مجھے لگا کہ شائد میں انہیں پہچانتا ہوں۔ کچھ دیر کی بات سننے کے بعد مجھے معلوم ہوگیا کہ وہ اردن کے سابق ولی عہد شہزادہ حسن بن طلال ہیں۔

ان کا یہ انٹرویو بہت شاندار تھا اور اس پر الگ سے بھی ایک آرٹیکل لکھوں گا۔

شہزادہ حسن بن طلال کو موجودہ دور کے نوجوان تو شائد بالکل بھی نہ پہچانتے ہوں۔ ان کا تعلق پاکستان کے ساتھ بھی بہت گہرا رہا ہے۔ پاکستان کے سابق سیکرٹری خارجہ اکرام اللہ صاحب کی سب سے چھوٹی صاحبزادی ثروت اکرام اللہ جو 1947 میں پیدا ہوئیں اور برطانیہ میں اعلی تعلیم حاصل کی۔ اسی دوران شہزادہ حسن بھی وہاں زیر تعلیم تھے تو وہاں ان کی ملاقات ہوئی اور پھر اگست 1968 میں دونوں کی شادی ہوگئی۔ یہ شادی بھی بہت دلچسپ تھی اور دھوم دھام سے ہوئی۔ پی ٹی وی نے اس نکاح کو لائیو ٹیلی کاسٹ کیا، نکاح کے گواہ فیلڈ مارشل جنرل ایوب خان اور اردن کے کنگ شاہ حسین بذات خود تھے تو اس نکاح اور شادی کی دھوم کا اندازہ لگایا جاسکتا ہے اور اس اہمیت کے پیش نظر ہی پوری دنیا کے میڈیا نے بھی اس شادی کو خاص کوریج دی۔ پورے پاکستان میں بھی جشن کا سماں تھا اور کراچی کو خاص کر دلہن کی طرح سجایا گیا تھا۔ اس زمانے کے جو حضرات ہم میں موجود ہیں یقینا انہیں اس بارے میں مکمل معلومات ہوں گی۔ اسی شادی کی وجہ سے شہزادہ حسن کو پاکستان سے خاص لگائو تھا اور وہ پاکستان باقاعدگی سے آتے تھے، اردو بھی بول لیا کرتے تھے۔ شہزادہ حسن کی لیاقت پر دو رائے نہیں انہیں دنیا کی کئی یونیورسٹیوں کی جانب سے اعزازی ڈگریاں بھی ملی ہوئی ہیں۔ کئی کتب کے مصنف ہیں اور ایک علمی شخصیت ہیں۔ ان کی اہیلہ بھی ماشاءاللہ ایک سمجھ دار خاتون ہیں۔ انگریزی، فرنچ اور عربی پر عبور رکھتی ہیں۔

بہت عرصہ بعد انہیں سکرین پر دیکھ کر بہت اچھا لگا اور واقعی عرصہ بعد کوئی مزیدار اور معلوماتی انٹرویو دیکھنے کو ملا۔ ان کی باتوں میں پوزیٹوٹی بھری ہوئی تھی۔ ان کی تاریخ پر گرفت بہت زبردست ہے اور آئندہ کے حالات کے حوالے سے بھی بہت اچھا تجزیہ پیش کیا۔ اگرچہ سیات پر وہ کھل کر نہیں بولے اور اس کی بنیادی وجہ یہ ہے کہ شہزادہ حسن ولی عہد تھے اور ان کے بڑے بھائی کنگ حسین اس وقت بادشاہ تھے۔ کئی سالوں تک یہ ولی عہد رہے اور اس دوران شاہ حسین کو علاج کیلئے امریکہ جانا پڑا جب وہ 1999 میں اپنی وفات سے 4 روز قبل امریکہ سے واپس آئے اور آتے ہی انہوں نے پہلا کام یہ کیا کہ شہزادہ حسن بن طلال کو ولی عہدی سے معزول کرکے اپنے بڑے صاحبزادہ کو ولی عہد نامزد کردیا اور کچھ ہی روز بعد ان کا انتقال ہوگیا۔ شہزادہ حسن نے سمجھ داری کا ثبوت دیتے ہوئے اپنے بھتیجے سے بعیت کی اور وفاداری کا اعلان کیا۔ کافی عرصہ تک وہ متحرک رہے اور زیادہ تو چیریٹی کے کام میں مصروف رہے لیکن پھر کچھ عرصہ سے گمنامی کی زندگی گزار رہے ہیں۔

میری گزارش فقط یہ ہے کہ کس طرح عالم اسلام کو ایک عظیم مدبر اور رہنما کی قیادت سے محروم کردیا گیا جو ایک واضح ویژن رکھتے ہیں۔ آج ہم سب جانتے ہیں کہ امت مسلمہ میں ایسے پڑھے لکھے اور جہاندیدہ لیڈروں کی واضح کمی اور فقدان ہے۔ شہزادہ حسن کو کیوں اردن کا کنگ نہیں بننے دیا گیا اس پر تفصیلی گفتگو پھر کبھی لیکن اس بارے میں دو رائے نہیں کہ وہ ایک مخلص اور مدبر رہنما ہیں اور عالم اسلام کو ایسے ہی افراد کی اشد ضرورت ہے

Along with this, the way today’s inauguration event was organised and the message of the Quran was conveyed to the whole world through a disabled motivational speaker who is also a reciter of the Quran was something absolutely remarkable. On the other hand, it was very biased that BBC and ITV did not telecast the opening ceremony. This behaviour is regrettable and incomprehensible; why was this done despite the presence of media teams in Qatar?

These tactics show that if there is such an activity in an Islamic country, they will not tolerate it. I also pay tribute to the Government of Qatar for allocating prayer spaces inside the stadium, organising dawah and tabligh programs and setting up stalls. Perfumes and gifts were arranged for the guests who came to the function. All this is a very positive step and is commendable.

The way Qatar has respected its Islamic traditions in hosting the Football World Cup is an example for all Islamic countries!! A gift of perfume to all spectators at their seats in the stadium.

Qatar called the whole Western world and banned alcohol, banned inappropriate clothing, and five times the sound of adhan is echoed around the stadiums.

Through this mega event, not only is a wonderful impression of Qatar emerging all over the world, but Qatar is also performing the duty of dawah through this medium. It shows that forcefully suppressing Islam does not matter as it emerges in new ways and means. On the other hand, those who claim freedom of speech want to impose their ideas on others, but they do not tolerate anyone else’s ideas, traditions and culture.

محترم قارئین جب سے قطر میں منعقد ہونے والے فیفا ورلڈ کپ کے انعقاد کے دن قریب آرہے تھے، مغربی میڈیا کی جانب سے قطر کے خلاف جارحانہ انداز اپنانے میں شدت آگئی اور بہت تیزی سے قطر کے خلاف پراپیگنڈہ کرنا شروع کردیا گیا۔ کہا گیا کہ قطر بڑے پیمانے پر انسانی حقوق کی خلاف ورزیاں کرتا ہے اور وہاں مائیگرینٹ ورکرز کے حالات اچھے نہیں ہیں۔

ایشوز تو ہر ملک میں ہوتے ہیں اور اس میں دو رائے ہے بھی نہیں کہ قطر میں بھی ہیں لیکن ورلڈ کپ کے انعقاد سے قبل اتنے تواتر کیساتھ قطر کو نشانہ بنانا اور معاملات کو اچھالنا، یہ سمجھ میں نہیں آتا ۔

جن ممالک میں بھی اس سے قبل ورلڈ کپ ہوئے ہیں یا اسپورٹس کے دیگر بڑے ایونٹس کا انعقاد ہوا ہے وہاں بھی ایشوز تو موجود رہے ہیں ۔

افریقہ میں آپ کے سامنے ہے کہ ڈکٹیٹرشپ ہے اور ہیومن رائٹس کی جتنی خلاف ورزی وہاں ہوتی ہے اور کہیں نہیں ہوتی۔ اسی طرح نارتھ امریکہ کے ممالک میں پورے پورے مافیا، گینگ وارز اور ڈرگ کے کارٹیل موجود ہیں لیکن وہاں بھی سپورٹس ایونٹس منعقد ہوتے ہیں ۔ اسی طرح چین اور روس کی مثال بھی آپ کے سامنے ہے ۔

کسی اور ملک میں موجود مسائل کی وجہ سے وہاں کھیلوں کے انعقاد پر تنقید عمومآ نہیں ہوتی لیکن یہ پہلی دفعہ دیکھنے میں آرہا ہے کہ اسپورٹس کو سیاست کیلئے استعمال کیا جارہا ہے۔

میں قطر کی حکومت کو خراج تحسین پیش کرتا ہوں کہ اس نے تمام پراپیگنڈا کا بھرپور جواب دیا اور ایونٹ کے انعقاد کو یقینی بنایا۔ اس کے ساتھ جو آج کی تقریب تھی اس میں جیسے افتتاح ہوا اور ایک معذور موٹیویشنل اسپیکر جو قرآن کا قاری بھی ہے اس کے ذریعے سے قرآن کا پیغام پوری دنیا تک پہنچایا گیا وہ بہت قابل تحسین عمل ہے۔ دوسری جانب انتہائی متعصب رویہ دیکھنے کو ملا کہ بی بی سی اور آئی ٹی وی نے افتتاحی تقریب کو ٹیلی کاسٹ نہیں کیا۔ یہ رویہ افسوس ناک اور سمجھ میں نہ آنے والا ہے کہ میڈیا ٹیمز کی قطر میں موجودگی کے باوجود ایسا کیوں کیا گیا؟

ان ہتھکنڈوں سے معلوم ہوتا ہے کہ اگر کسی اسلامی ملک میں ایسی سرگرمی ہو تو ان کو یہ برداشت نہیں ۔ اس کے ساتھ میں قطر کی حکومت کو خراج تحسین پیش کرتا ہوں کہ انہوں نے اسٹیڈیم کے اندر نماز کی جگہوں کو مختص کیا ہے، دعوت و تبلیغ کے پروگرام مرتب کئے ہیں اور اسٹالز لگائے گئے ہیں ۔ جو مہمان تقریب میں آئے تھے ان کیلئے عطر اور تحائف کا اہتمام کیا گیا۔ یہ سب بہت مثبت قدم ہے اور قابل ستائش ہے۔

‏فٹبال ورلڈ کپ کی میزبانی میں جس طرح قطر نے اپنی اسلامی روایات کا مان رکھا ہے وہ تمام اسلامی ممالک کیلئے مثال ہے !! اسٹیڈیم میں سب تماشائیوں کے لیے ان کی سیٹ پر عطر کا تحفہ۔

‏قطر نے ساری مغربی دنیا کو بلا کر شراب پر پابندی لگا دی ، نامناسب لباس پر پابندی لگا دی ، پانچ وقت اذان کی آواز متواتر اسٹیڈیمز کے گرد و نواح میں گونج رہی ہیں۔

اس میگا ایونٹ کے ذریعے سے دنیا بھر میں نہ صرف قطر کا بہت شاندار تاثر ابھر کر سامنے آرہا ہے بلکہ قطر اس ذریعے سے دعوت دین کا کام بھی سرانجام دے رہا ہے۔ اس سے معلوم ہوتا ہے کہ اسلام کو زبردستی دبانے سے اسلام کو کوئی فرق نہیں پڑتا اور یہ مزید نئے راستے اور ذریعوں سے ابھرتا ہے۔ دوسری طرف جو لوگ فریڈم آف اسپیچ کے دعوے کرتے ہیں وہ اپنے نظریات تو دوسروں پر تھوپنا چاہتے ہیں لیکن کسی اور کا نظریہ، روایات اور ثقافت ان سے برداشت نہیں

Tragic Bus Accident in Sindh and Our Apathy

Dear readers, I just came across the news that there was a bus accident in Sindh where many people were martyred while several were injured, including children and women. First of all, may Allah forgive those who have died in this accident, heal those who are injured as soon as possible and grant patience to the bereaved, Ameen.

Recently, I also visited Sindh to help the flood victims, but our journey was also perilous. The roads were bumpy and broken, and it was more of a death ride as your car could overturn at any moment. We travelled only with trust in Allah.

You can imagine how the people who travel there daily take their lives in the palm of their hands. It has been several months since the floods, and practical work has yet to be done to fix the cuts.

Now, this accident has happened; God forbid, it could be a big accident. This accident is not a minor one. It is necessary to understand the value of human life. God forbid, if this accident had happened in another country, then the inquiry would have been held by now, the responsible would have been determined, and a report would have been prepared. The country’s Prime Minister would have left all other work and reached the spot, and the outcome would have started to bring those responsible to the end.

These things are not included in our priorities, and we have no idea of the greatness of human life. Such accidents are considered normal, and what should our poor people do? Only we can pray that Allah Almighty gives the power to the ruling class to gain consciousness.

You must have seen the news that the Deputy Commissioner has transferred two billion rupees from the Motorway to his personal account. I don’t know how many billions and trillions of rupees have gone into people’s pockets, and this series of corruption is continuing. May Allah guide these people.

This accident is tragic; it is not uncommon for twenty people to die. Among those martyred was a newly married couple. Perhaps the management was waiting for this incident to occur. May Allah guide them.

محترم قارئین ابھی نیوز میں یہ خبر دیکھی کہ سندھ میں بس کا حادثہ ہوا ہے جس میں بہت سے لوگ شہید ہوگئے اور بہت سے لوگ زخمی بھی ہیں اس میں بچے اور عورتیں بھی شامل ہیں۔ سب سے پہلے تو جن افراد کا اس میں انتقال ہوگیا ہے اللہ تعالی ان کی مغفرت فرمائے جو زخمی ہے ان کو جلد از جلد ٹھیک کرے اور لواحقین کو صبر جمیل عطاء فرمائے آمین۔

حال ہی میں میں نے بھی سیلاب زدگان کی مدد کے لیے سندھ کا دورہ کیا تھا وہاں پر ہمارا بھی سفر اسی طرح بہت خطرناک تھا ہم نے خود دیکھا کہ جگہ جگہ کٹ لگے ہیں اور کچھ معلوم نہیں ہوتا کہ کہاں پر سڑک ہے اور کہاں پر کھڈا۔ یہ ایک موت کا سفر تھا اور کسی بھی وقت آپ کی گاڑی الٹ سکتی ہے۔ بس اللہ کے بھروسے اور اس پر توکل کے ساتھ ہی ہم نے سفر کیا۔

آپ اس سے اندازہ لگائیے کہ جو لوگ وہاں پر روزانہ سفر کرتے ہیں وہ کس طرح اپنی جان ہتھیلی پر لے کر یہ کام کرتے ہیں۔ سیلاب آئے ہوئے کئی مہینے بھی ہو گئے اور تب سے جو کٹ لگے ہیں ابھی تک ان کو پورا کرنے کے لیے کوئی عملی کام سر انجام نہیں دیا گیا۔

ابھی تو یہ حادثہ ہوا ہے خدا نا خواستہ اس سے بہت بڑا حادثہ بھی ہو سکتا ہے یہ حادثہ بھی کوئی چھوٹا یا معمولی حادثہ نہیں انسانی جان کی قدر و قیمت کو سمجھنے کی ضرورت ہے۔ خدا نا خواستہ یہ حادثہ کسی اور ملک میں ہوا ہوتا تو اب تک انکوائری بیٹھ چکی ہوتی ذمہ داران کا تعین کیا جا چکا ہوتا رپورٹ مرتب کی جا رہی ہوتی۔ ملک کا وزیراعظم باقی تمام کام چھوڑ کر وہاں پر پہنچ چکا ہوتا۔ اور اس کے ذمہ داران کو کیفر کردار تک پہنچانے کے لیے کام شروع ہو چکا ہوتا۔

ہمارے ہاں ترجیحات میں یہ چیزیں شامل نہیں اور انسانی جان کی عظمت کا کوئی تصور ہی نہیں۔ اس طرح کے حادثات کو ایک معمول کی کارروائی سمجھ لیا جاتا ہے ہماری قوم بھی بیچاری کیا کریے، بس اللہ تعالی حکمران طبقے کو ہی ہوش کے ناخن لینے کی توفیق عطا فرمائے۔

ابھی آپ نے یہ خبر بھی دیکھی ہوگی کہ ڈپٹی کمشنر صاحب نے موٹروے کے دو ارب روپے اپنے پرسنل اکاؤنٹ میں ٹرانسفر کر دیے نہ جانے اس طرح کے کتنے اربوں کھربوں روپے لوگوں کی جیب میں چلے گئے اور کرپشن کا یہ سلسلہ رکنے میں نہیں آرہا اللہ تعالی ان لوگوں کو ہدایت دے۔

یہ بہت دردناک واقعہ ہے بیس افراد کا جاں بحق ہو نا کوئی معمولی بات نہیں ہے۔ ان شہید ہونے والے افراد میں ایک نیا شادی شدہ جوڑا بھی تھا یہ کٹ منچھر جھیل پر دو ماہ سے زائد عرصے سے لگا ہوا ہے اور ابھی تک بھرا نہیں گیا۔ شائد انتظامیہ اسی واقعے کا انتظار کر رہی تھی۔ اللہ تعالی ان کو ہدایت دے

In What Condition Did I See Pakistani Pilgrims during Umrah?

One thing I noticed and observed during my recent trip to Haram Sharif is that many Umrah pilgrims from Pakistan were present there. You can clearly see two classes among them; one class is those who look miserable from their clothes, their lifestyle and appearance and it is clear that they are suffering from financial hardship.

These people are sitting outside the restaurants or standing in the streets for someone to come and provide them with food, as usually, people feed the people who come for Umrah, so they are also waiting for someone to do so.

Seeing such people makes one feel so sad and ashamed too, especially observing a large number of Pakistanis among them. A few years ago, the same was the case with our brother Islamic country, Turkey, where those people suffered from challenging conditions. However, now you see how rapidly Turkey has developed and now Turkish people are seen in every good hotel.

When a state is strong and corruption is stopped, its effects are also visible to the people living there.

However, I also spoke to some of these troubled people there. Some of them have sold their buffaloes, and some have come from some distant village after selling their jewels, only for the love of Bait Ullah Sharif or the love of the Prophet (S.A.W.W) brought them here.

These people live in harsh conditions, with no proper arrangement for housing, and they depend on others for food, but they come here because of the love of Haramain Sharifain in their hearts.

On the other hand, there are a large number of Pakistanis who stay in five-star hotels and enjoy a variety of cuisines.

It is clear how deep and clear the class division is in Pakistan.

Another thing that was felt very strongly is that majority of people come without Umrah training. There is no correct information about Tawaf and Sa’ee and no other basic knowledge as they come here without any training.

Apart from this, I noticed that many people from Pakistan are elderly and come here at an age when they can’t do anything themselves. Ageing is a disease in itself. During Umrah, one has to walk a lot, but due to old age, these people cannot perform all of Umrah’s functions.

Along with the people, the state should look at how to manage all these things and raise the standard of living of its people. Also, when people go for Umrah and Hajj, send them here with proper training. Isn’t it the job of Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs and Ministry of Hajj to provide essential guidance to people and allow them to come to Haram Sharif only after training them?

یہ لوگ ریسٹورنٹس کا باہر بیٹھے ہوتے ہیں یا پھر راستوں میں کھڑے ہوتے ہیں کہ کوئی آئے اور ان کو کھانا فراہم کرے جیسے کہ عموما لوگ وہاں پر عمرہ کے لئے آنے والوں کو کھانا کھلاتے ہیں تو یہ لوگ بھی اسی انتظار میں ہوتے ہیں کہ کوئی ان کو کھانا دے۔

ایسے افراد کو خاص طور پر ان میں پاکستانیوں کی بڑی تعداد کو دیکھ کر بہت دکھ ہوتا ہے اور شرم بھی آتی ہے۔ کچھ سال پہلے ہمارے برادر اسلامی ملک ترکی کا بھی یہی حال تھا کہ وہ لوگ بہت مشکل حالات کا شکار تھے لیکن آپ اب دیکھیں کہ ترکی نے کس تیزی سے ترقی کی ہے اوراب ہر اچھے ہوٹل میں ترکی کے افراد نظر آتے ہیں ۔

جب ریاست مضبوط ہوتی ہے اور کرپشن رک جاتی ہے تو اس کے اثرات وہاں کے عوام پر بھی ظاہر ہوتے ہیں۔

بہرحال وہاں پر ان پریشان حال لوگوں میں سے کچھ سے میری بات بھی ہوئی۔ کوئی ان میں سے اپنی بھینس بیچ کر آیا ہے کوئی زیور بیچ کر کسی دور دراز گاؤں سے، صرف بیت اللہ کی محبت میں آیا ہے یا پھر روزہ رسول کی محبت اس کو یہاں پر کھینچ لائی۔

یہ لوگ بہت مشکل حالات میں رہتے ہیں رہائش کا بھی کوئی مناسب انتظام نہیں ہوتا اور کھانے کے لیے بھی دوسروں کے محتاج ہوتے ہیں لیکن ان کے دل میں حرمین شریفین کی محبت کی وجہ سے یہاں پر آجاتے ہیں۔

دوسری طرف پاکستانیوں کی ایک بہت بڑی تعداد ہے جو فائیو سٹار ہوٹل میں ٹھہری ہوتی ہے اور انواع و اقسام کے کھانوں سے لطف اندوز ہو رہی ہوتی ہے۔

صاف معلوم ہوتا ہے کہ پاکستان میں طبقاتی تقسیم کتنی گہری اور واضح ہے۔

ایک اور چیز جو بہت شدت سے محسوس کی وہ یہ کہ لوگوں کی اکثریت عمرہ کی تربیت لیے بغیر ہی آجاتی ہے۔ طواف و سعی کے بارے میں درست معلومات نہیں اور دیگر بنیادی معلومات بھی نہیں، لیکن یہ بغیر کسی تربیت کے یہاں پر آ جاتے ہیں۔

اس کے علاوہ ایک اور چیز جو محسوس کی وہ یہ کہ پاکستان سے تعلق رکھنے والے لوگوں میں بڑی تعداد بڑی عمر کے افراد یعنی کے بزرگوں کی ہے اور یہ عمر کے اس حصے میں یہاں پر آتے ہیں جس حصے میں یہ خود سے کام سر انجام نہیں دے سکتے۔

بڑھاپا از خود ایک بیماری ہے۔ عمرہ کے دوران بہت زیادہ چلنا پڑتا ہے لیکن زیادہ عمر ہونے کی وجہ سے یہ لوگ تمام افعال سر انجام نہیں دے پاتے۔

میرے خیال میں لوگوں کے ساتھ ساتھ اسٹیٹ کو بھی دیکھنا چاہیے کہ کیسے ان تمام چیزوں کو مینیج کرے اور اپنے لوگوں کے معیار زندگی کو بلند کریں۔ اور یہ بھی کہ جب لوگ عمرہ اور حج کے لیے جائیں تو ان کو مناسب تربیت کے ساتھ یہاں پر بھیجے کیا پاکستان کی وزارت مذہبی امور اور وزارت حج کا یہ کام نہیں کہ لوگوں کو بنیادی رہنمائی فراہم کرے اور ان کو تربیت دینے کے بعد ہی حرمین شریفین آنے دیا جائے آئے
