انسان جب سفر کرتا ہے، کسی ایک ملک اور معاشرے سے دوسرے ملک اور معاشرے کی طرف جاتا ہے تو اسے بہت سےتجربات اور مشاہدات کا موقع ملتا ہے۔ مختلف تہذیبوں، ثقافتوں، لوگوں کی طبیعت و مزاج، رہن سہن، عادات و اطوار، اور اخلاق و اوصاف کو قریب سے دیکھنے کا موقع میسر آتا ہے، جس کی بنیاد پر وہ ان قوموں کے متعلق اپنا تجزیہ، اور رائے قائم کر سکتا ہے۔ ہر کلچر، تہذیب، اور قوم میں کچھ خوبیاں، اور خامیاں، اچھائیاں، اور برائیاں ضرور ہوتی ہیں۔ لیکن دنیا کی ایک ایسی قوم جو ایک دم دنیا میں اپنا نام پیدا کر دے، ترقی کی بلندیوں کو چھونے لگے، دنیا میں اپنا نام و مقام پیدا کرے وہ چائنیز قوم ہی ہے۔ انکی اس ترقی کے راز کو معلوم کرنے کیلئے لوگ چین کا سفر کرتے ہیں اور ان اصولوں کو معلوم کرنا چاہتے ہیں جن کی بنیاد پر چینی قوم آج اس مقام پر پہنچی ہے۔ چین کی آبادی بہت زیادہ ہونے کے باوجود چائنیز قوم نے اپنے مسائل کو کیسے حل کیا؟ اس سوال کا جواب ترقی کا ہر طالب جاننا چاہتا ہے۔ ایک زمانہ تھا کہ چین میں غربت وافلاس کے علاوہ کچھ نہیں تھا، جس کا اندازہ ایک چینی عالم سے ہونے والی میری گفتگو سے لگا سکتے ہیں جو آئندہ سطور میں آرہی ہے، کہ چینی لوگوں کی زندگی کس شدید بھوک اور بد حالی سے گزری ہے۔ میری ایک چینی عالم سے ملاقات ہوئی، میں نے اس سے پوچھا کہ آپ لوگ کس طرح مختلف قسم کے جانور اور کیڑے مکوڑے کھا لیتے ہو؟ اس نے کہا کہ ایک زمانہ تھا جب چین کا ہر باسی انتہائی کسمپرسی کا شکار تھا۔ ہمارے ہاں اتنی غربت تھی کہ لوگ کھانے کیلئے ترستے تھے۔ جب شدتِ بھوک بڑھتی تو جسے جو چیز ملتی اسے کھا لیتا تھا۔ اسے اپنے پیٹ بھرنے کے علاوہ کسی جانور، کسی کیڑے مکوڑے سے کوئی غرض نہیں تھی، نا اس وقت اسے اس چیز کا خیال رہتا کہ کیا جو چیز میں کھا رہا ہوں، میری صحت کیلئے مفید ہے یا مضر ہے۔ گندگی اور آلودگی کا یہ عالم تھا کہ پینے کیلئے صاف پانی تک ہمیں میسر نہیں تھا۔ مجبوراً گندا اور آلودہ پانی پینا پڑتا تھا جس سے ہم لوگ بیماریوں کا شکار ہو جاتے اور یوں پورا چینی معاشرہ ان بیماریوں کی زد میں آجاتا تھا۔ کبھی تو وہ بیماریاں خطرناک حد تک پھیل جاتی تھیں۔ ان بیماریوں سے بچنے کیلئے ہم نے گرم پانی پینا شروع کر دیا اور آج تک چائنیز گرم پانی ابال کرپیتے ہیں۔ ٹھنڈا پانی کم ہی استعمال کرتے ہیں۔ گرم پانی کے ساتھ ساتھ گرین ٹی کا بہت زیادہ استعمال کرتے ہیں۔ ہم برسوں سے سنتے آرہے تھے کہ چائینیز حشرات الارض اور کیڑے مکوڑے بڑی آسانی سے کھا لیتے ہیں، لیکن اس سفر سے پہلے ہمیں اس کے پس منظر کا علم نہیں تھا۔ اس نے یہ بھی بتایا کہ چینی لوگ بہت زیادہ مقدار میں نشہ کرنے کے عادی تھے، کیونکہ جہاں غربت کی وجہ سے کوئی کاروبار نہ ہو، وہاں ڈپریشن ہوتا ہے، اور جہاں ڈپریشن ہو وہاں لوگ برائیوں میں مبتلا ہو جاتے ہیں۔ پھر وہ لوگ مختلف قسم کے ایسے راستے اپناتے ہیں جس سے انہیں کچھ سکون ملتا ہو۔ اس ڈپریشن سے نجات کیلئے زیادہ تر لوگ نشے کا سہارا لیتے ہیں۔ چائنیز قومکی اسٹوری بھی اس سے کچھ مختلف نہیں۔ وہ لوگ بھی اپنے ڈپریشن کو کم کرنے کیلئے نشے کا بے دریغ استعمال کرتے تھے۔ بہت زیادہ مقدار میں افیم پی کر سارا دن پڑے رہتے تھے۔ جب آدمی کے پاس کوئی کام نا ہو اور سارا دن فراغت میں گزرتا ہو تو وہ آدمی یقینی طور پر بے چینی کا شکار ہوتا ہے اور اس کی زندگی کا ہر دن بڑی مشکل سے گزرتا ہے۔ ہر لمحہ انتہائی بے چینی کے ساتھ کٹتا ہے۔ لہٰذا، عام طور پر آدمی اس بے چینی سے چھٹکارا حاصل کرنے اور اپنے فارغ وقت کو گزارنے کیلیے نشے کی بری عادت میں پڑتا ہے۔ وہ یوں سمجھتا ہے کہ مجھے اس سے چین و راحت حاصل ہوگی۔ یہاں سے آپ اچھی طرح اندازہ لگا سکتے ہیں کہ چینی قوم کو کتنے مسائل کا سامنا تھا، لیکن انہوں نے ہمت نہیں ہاری۔ غربت، بھوک و افلاس کا ڈٹ کر مقابلہ کیا اور دنیا میں اپنا نام بنایا۔ آج “میڈ ان چائنہ” ایک بڑا برانڈ بن چکا ہے، کہ ہر چیز چین میں بن رہی ہے، اور دنیا کے ہر خطے اور ہر ملک میں انکی مصنوعات پہنچ رہی ہیں۔
چین کے میرے اس سفر کی وجوہات میں ایک وجہ انکی اس ترقی کو اپنی آنکھوں سے دیکھنا بھی تھا۔ دوسری وجہ جو سب سے اہم بھی ہے کہ بچپن سے ہی ایک حدیث سنتے آرہے ہیں کہ: ‘اطلبوا العلم ولو في الصين” علم حاصل کرو اگرچہ اس کیلئے چین جانا پڑے۔ اگرچہ بعض علماء کے نزدیک یہ حدیث ضعیف، ہے، لیکن فضائل کے باب میں ضعیف حدیث سے بھی استدلال کیا جاتا سکتا ہے۔ اگر ہم حدیث کو ضعیف تسلیم کر لیں تو اس سے بھی کم از کم اتنی بات تو ثابت ہوتی ہے کہ اس وقت چینی قوم کے پاس کوئی تو خوبی ہوگی جس کی بنیاد پر چین جانےکا کہا گیا۔ انکے پاس کوئی ایسا علم، فن یا ہنر ہوگا جس کی طرف اشارہ کیا گیا۔ ظاہر بات ہے کہ وہ کوئی دینی، یا قرآن وحدیث کا علم تو نہیں ہوگا، کوئی دنیاوی علم یا ہنر ہی ہوگا۔
دوسری وجہ یہ ہے کہ چین حجاز اور جزیرۃ العرب سے بہت دور ہے، تو اس حدیث میں یہ بتایا گیا علم حاصل کرنے کیلئے جتنا دور جانا پڑے، چلے جاؤ۔
میرے چین کے سفر کی ایک وجہ یہ بھی تھی کہ جب میرے جیسا آدمی دنیا کے مختلف ممالک کا سفر کر رہا ہو اور وہ چین نا جائے تو اسکا سفر نامہ نا مکمل اور ادھورا ہی رہتا ہے۔ کیونکہ اس وقت چائنیز نے جو ترقی کی ہے وہ دنیا میں قابل دید اور ایک عظیم کارنامہ ہے۔ جس تیزی سے انہوں نے چند ہی سالوں میں زندگی کے ہر شعبے، ہر میدان میں ترقی کی اور اپنا لوہا منوایا، وہ یقیناً کچھ اصولوں پر عمل کرنے کی مرہونِ منت ہے۔ انکی ترقی کے وہ اصول کیا تھے، جنہیں اختیار کر کے آج وہ اس مقام پر پہنچے؟ یہ جاننا بھی میرے اس سفر کے مقاصد میں شامل تھا۔ چائنیز کے ترقی کے اہم اصول اور راز آئندہ قسطوں میں آپ حضرات کے سامنے ضرور پیش کرونگا۔ چین کے میرے اس سفر کی اسٹوری بہت حیران کن ہے۔ ہوا یوں کہ لیسٹر شائر میں مقیم ہمارے ایک دوست، اور مسجد اقصی کے ایک سفر کے میرے ہم سفر زاہد صاحب کا اپنے کاروبار کے سلسلے میں چائنہ آنا جانا لگا رہتا ہے۔ اچانک انکا فون آیا اور وہ کسی شرعی مسئلے میں رہنمائی چاہتے تھے۔ جب مسئلہ پوچھ کر فارغ ہوئے تو گویا ہوئے کہ مفتی صاحب میں سعودی ایئر لائن سے چین جا رہا ہوں۔ راستے میں دو دن مکہ مکرمہ اور دو دن مدینہ منورہ میں اسٹے ہے۔ اس طرح عمرہ بھی کر لوں گا اور پھر جدہ سے گونزو، چین کیلئے روانہ ہو جاؤنگا، جہاں ایک ہفتے کے قیام کے بعد واپسی ہوگی۔ اگر آپ میرے ساتھ چلنا چاہیں تو مجھے خوشی ہوگی، اور وہاں پر میں نے ہر چیز کی بکنگ کی ہوئی ہے۔ جس ہوٹل میں میری رہائش ہوگی، آپ بھی ساتھ میں ٹھہر لینگے۔ جو سواری میں استعمال کرونگا وہ آپ کیلئے بھی ہوگی، اور کھانا پینا بھی ہم ایک ساتھ کر لینگے۔ اس طرح آپکا کوئی زیادہ خرچہ بھی نہیں ہوگا، میں نے اسکی یہ آفر ایک دم بغیر کسی غور و فکر کے فوراً قبول کر لی۔ میں تو اسی انتظار میں تھا کہ چائنہ کے سفر کی کوئی ترتیب بنے۔ میرے ایک دوسرے دوست کامران صاحب بھی اکثر چین آتے جاتے رہتے ہیں، میں انکے سامنے چین جانے کی خواہش کا اظہار کرتا رہا ہوں، لیکن وہ بڑی ہوشیاری سے ٹال مٹول کر دیتے تھے۔ کہتے مفتی صاحب ان شاءاللہ ضرور جائینگے۔ کبھی بھی کوئی سیریس آفر نہیں کی۔ کامران صاحب کا تذکرہ یہاں زاہد کی آفر کے تناظر میں ضمناآگیا، ۔
،بہرحال میں نے زاہد صاحب کو کہا کہ آپ جلدی سے میری ٹکٹ بھی بک کر لیں۔ زاہد سے بات کرنے کے بعد فضل بھائی سے اسی سلسلے میں بات ہوئی تو فضل بھائی بھی تیار ہو گئے۔ ہم نے ٹکٹیں تو بڑی عجلت میں خرید لیں لیکن مجھے اندازہ نہیں تھا کہ چین کے ویزے میں مجھے مشکل مراحل سے گزرنا پڑے گا۔ میرا خیال تھا کہ میرے پاس برٹش پاسپورٹ ہونے کی وجہ سے دنیا کے کسی بھی ملک میں جانے اور انٹر ہونے میں مجھے کسی قسم کی دشواری سامنا نہیں ہوگا۔ لیکن چین کی ویزہ ریکوائرمینٹ کی بہت لمبی فہرست پوری کرنے کے بعد ہی ملتا ہے، جس کیلئے انکی آن لائن ویب سائٹ پر پوری ڈیٹیل ڈالنے کے بعد اپلائی کرنا ہوتا ہے۔ پھر اس کے پرنٹ آؤٹ لیکر چین کی ایمبیسی جانا پڑتا ہے، اور وہاں تمام ڈاکومنٹس جمع کروانے ہوتے ہیں۔
میں دنیا کے مختلف ممالک کے اسفار کرتا رہتا ہوں مگر آج تک کسی ملک کی ایمبیسی جانے کی ضرورت پیش نہیں آئی۔ اگر کبھی جانا بھی ہوا ہے تو ایک ہی مرتبہ میں مسئلہ حل ہو جاتا ہے، لیکن چین کے ویزے کیلئے مجھے چار دفعہ چائنیز ایمبیسی جانا پڑا۔ کافی مراحل سے گزرنے کے بعد انتہائی مشکل سے مجھے ویزا ملا۔ میں نے اور فضل بھائی نے ایک سال کے ملٹیپل ویزے کیلئے اپلائی کیا تھا، جس کیلئے انکی تمام ریکوائرمینٹ بھی پوری کیں، لیکن انہوں نے مجھے صرف تین مہینے کا اور وہ بھی سنگل انٹری ویزہ دیا، اور فضل بھائی کو دو سال کیلئے ویزہ دے دیا۔ میں نے ان سے کہا کہ آپ نے مجھ سے فیس ایک سال کے ملٹیپل انٹری ویزے کی لی ہے، اور ویزہ تین مہینے کی سنگل انٹری کا دیا ہے اور میرے ساتھی کو اتنی ہی فیس پر دو سال کا ملٹیپل ویزہ دے دیا۔ شاید آپ نے میرے پیسے کا استعمال کر کے انکو دو سال کا ویزہ دے دیا ہے۔ میری اس بات کا ان کے پاس کوئی جواب نہیں تھا۔
چلیں، جیسے تیسے کر کے کافی دنوں کے بعد جب ویزہ ملا تو پریشانی ختم ہوئی، کیونکہ ہم نے ٹکٹیں اور ہوٹل بک کرا لیا تھا۔ جب چین کا ویزہ ملا تو ہمارا سفر اسٹارٹ ہوا۔ سب سے پہلے دیار حبیب صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی جانب رخ تھا، سعودی ایئر لائن کے ذریعے جدہ پہنچے، اور پھر مکہ المکرمہ۔ دو دن مکہ میں رہے، اس دوران اللہ نے یہ بھی سعادت بخشی کہ یکم محرم الحرام کی رات کو غلاف کعبہ کی تبدیلی کا پر سحر منظر بھی دیکھا۔ یکم محرم الحرام کی رات حرم میں گزاری۔ انتہائی رش، اور مطاف جانے پر سختی ہونے کے باوجود اللہ کے فضل و کرم سے انہتائی آسانی کے ساتھ ہم مطاف کے اندر پہنچے۔ پہلی رات کو عمرہ کیا، طواف و سعی کرتے ہی وہ رات بسر کی، دوسری رات بھی حرم کے اندر ہی گزری، صرف تہجد کے وقت سے کچھ پہلے جب بھوک محسوس ہونے لگی تو حرم سے باہر نکلا اور فراز بھائی کی دعوت پر انکی میزبانی میں ان کے ساتھ کھانا کھایا۔ دو دن مکہ میں گزارنے کے بعد ہم مدینۃ المنورہ چلے گئے اور وہاں پر دو دن جوار رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم میں بسر کرنے کے بعد ہم نے جدہ کیلئے ٹرین پکڑی۔ جدہ پہنچے، اور جدہ ایئرپورٹ کی طرف رخ کیا جہاں سے گونزو، چائنہ کیلئے ہماری فلائٹ تھی۔ ہم فلائٹ سے چار گھنٹے پہلے جدہ ایئرپورٹ پہنچ چکے تھے۔
ایئرپورٹ پر اوپر ایک اسٹور پر کچھ لینے کیلئے جب میں گیا تو وہاں پر ایک فین سے اچانک ملاقات ہوئی، جو بہت ہی اچھے انسان تھے۔ انہوں نے ہماری بڑی خدمت کی۔ انکے پاس زمزم کا ایک کین تھا جس سے ہمیں زم زم بھی پلایا۔ ہم نے سوچا کہ کیوں نا ہم بھی جدہ ایئرپورٹ سے زمزم کے کین خرید لیں اور چین جا کر جمعہ کی نماز کے بعد لوگوں کو زمزم پلا لیں۔ ہمارے پاس مدینۃ المنورہ کی عجوہ کھجور بھی موجود تھیں جو ہم نے مدینہ منورہ سے خریدی تھیں۔
جب ہم چین روانگی کیلئے سعودی ایئر لائن کے جہاز میں سوار ہوئے، اور جہاز نے رن وے پر اڑان بھرنے کیلئے دوڑنا شروع کیا تو اڑان سے کچھ ہی لمحات پہلے جہاز نے رن وے کی دوسری سائیڈ سے دوبارہ ٹرمینل کے طرف واپسی کا رخ کیا۔ اور اعلان کیا گیا کہ جہاز میں فنی خرابی ہونے کی وجہ سے یہ جہاز فی الحال اڑان بھرنے کیلئے موزوں نہیں۔ تمام مسافروں کو آف لوڈ کیا گیا، پھر دوسرے جہاز میں دوبارہ مسافروں کو سوار کیا گیا، اس پورے پروسیجر میں مزید چار سوا چار گھنٹے لگ گئے۔ سعودی ایئر لائنز کی ایک بات بہت ہی اچھی ہے کہ انکی ایئر لائنز میں نماز کی جگہ ہوتی ہے۔ جہاں پر سکون ماحول میں نماز ادا کی جا سکتی ہے۔ جہاز نے پھر اڑان لی اور گونزو کیلئے روانہ ہوا، اب ہمیں گیارہ گھنٹے کی طویل مسافت کا سفر طے کرنا تھا۔ آٹھ گھنٹے جدہ ایئرپورٹ پر انتظار اور گیارہ گھنٹے کے مسلسل فضائی سفر کو طے کر کے جب ہم گونزو ایئرپورٹ پہنچے تو انتہائی تھک چکے تھے۔

Alhamdulillah this year, the blessed days of Dhul Hijjah and Eid al-Adha were very busy. Allah SWT gave me the opportunity to present and speak regarding Hajj during my program on television. On the Day of Arafah, I had the privilege of doing a program on Islam Channel Urdu. In the evening as well I did bayaan related to the Day of Arafah in the mosque and had Iftar at Maghrib. Many people were present in the mosque where Abdul Wasey Muhammad did recitation of the Holy Quran along with Naat e Rasool Maqbool.
After that, Eid day was also very good and occupied. I as Mufti Abdul Wahab offered Eid prayers, then spent time at home with relatives and children, had food. Though I had a flight to Pakistan on the evening of the second day of Eid. I reached Karachi airport on time, where my friend Farrukh Mazhar came to receive me, for which I am very thankful to him. Upon reaching Pakistan, I approached the sacrificial animals, fed them with my hands, and then performed the sacrifice. Later, I got a chance to have some rest and after getting fresh, I led the Friday prayer. After Friday prayer I attended a gathering which happens at my home for reciting durood shareef.
The next step was the visit to the suburbs of Karachi city and Fatani Goth, where the volunteers of Al Wahab Foundation had organised the Qurbani project for the most deserving ones. Alhamdulillah I distributed the sacrificial meat among them and provided them with cooked food. Then, we returned late in the evening to my brother’s house where all my siblings were gathered for Eid. Thus, the second day of Eid was also full of activities.
The next day we had a sacrifice of camels. Alhamdulillah, this practice has been going on for many years. We slaughtered the camels and fed the cooked meat to the people. This day was also very busy. I am thankful to all my relatives and friends who took care of me in Pakistan and especially to my nephew Fauzan who organised the sacrifices efficiently, which is why I could do so much in such a short time. Today Alhamdulillah I have reached back to London and now the routine life will start again. May Allah SWT keep all of you safe and happy. Ameen.
الحمدللہ اس سال عشرہ ذی الحجہ اور عید الاضحی بہت مصروف گزرے۔ اللہ تعالی نے حج کے حوالے سے ٹی وی پر پروگرام کرنے کی توفیق عطا فرمائی، یوم عرفہ پر اسلام چینل اردو پر طویل دورانیہ کی نشریات پیش کرنے کی سعادت حاصل ہوئی۔ پھر شام کو مسجد میں یوم عرفہ کے حوالے سے ہی بیان اور مغرب کے وقت افطار کی مصروفیت رہی۔ اس مجلس میں عبدالواسع محمد نے قرآن پاک کی تلاوت کی اور نعت رسول مقبول پیش کی جبکہ حاضرین کی بڑی تعداد نے اس محفل میں شرکت کی۔
اس کے بعد عید کا دن بھی بہت اچھا اور مصروف رہا۔ عید کی نماز پڑھائی، پھر گھر پر رشتہ داروں اور بچوں کے ساتھ وقت گزارا، کھایا پیا۔ جبکہ عید کے دوسرے دن شام کو میری پاکستان کیلئے فلائٹ تھی۔ میں بروقت کراچی ائیرپورٹ پہنچا جہاں ہمارے دوست فروخ مظہر صاحب مجھے ریسیو کرنے آئے تھے ان کا بہت شکریہ۔ پاکستان پہنچ کر سب سے پہلے میں قربانی کے جانوروں کے پاس پہنچا انہیں اپنے ہاتھ سے کھلایا پلایا اور پھر قربانی انجام دی۔ اس کے بعد کچھ دیر سستانے کا موقع ملا اور پھر نہا دھو کر جمعہ پڑھایا۔ جمعہ کے بعد ہمارے گھر میں درودشریف کا ختم ہوتا ہے اس میں شرکت کی
اگلا مرحلہ کراچی شہر کی نواحی بستیوں کا اور فتانی گوٹ کا وزٹ تھا جہاں الوہاب فاونڈیشن کے رضاکاروں نے بہت جانفشانی کیساتھ مستحقین کیلئے قربانی کا اہتمام کیا تھا۔ الحمدللہ اپنے ہاتھ سے ان میں قربانی کا گوشت تقسیم کیا اور پکا ہوا کھانا کھلایا۔ یہاں سے شام گئے واپسی ہوئی اور پھر ہمارے بڑے بھائی صاحب کے گھر تمام بہن بھائی جمع تھے جن سے ملاقات کی۔ یوں عید کا دوسرا دن بھی سرگرمیوں سے بھرپور رہا۔
اس سے اگلے دن ہمارے ہاں اونٹوں کی قربانی تھی۔ الحمدللہ کئی سالوں سے یہ سلسلہ جاری ہے۔ ہم نے اونٹ نحر کئے اور پکا ہوا گوشت لوگوں کو کھلایا۔ یہ دن بھی بہت مصروف رہا۔ میں ان تمام رشتہ داروں اور دوست احباب کا شکرگزار ہوں جنہوں نے پاکستان میں میرا خیال رکھا اور خاص طور پر میرے بھتیجے فوزان کا جس نے، اچھے انداز سے قربانی کا اہتمام کیا اسی وجہ سے میں اس مختصر سے وقت میں اتنا کچھ کرنے کے قابل ہوا۔ آج الحمدللہ میں واپس لندن پہنچ چکا ہوں اور اب دوبارہ سے روٹین لائف شروع ہوجائے گی۔ اللہ تعالی آپ تمام احباب کو سلامت اور خوش و خرم رکھے آمین۔

اس میں کوئی دو رائے نہیں کہ یہ ایک المناک حادثہ ہے اور انسانی جانوں کے ضیاع پر دکھ فطرتی ہے۔ انسانی جان کی عظمت بہت زیادہ ہے چاہے وہ انسان مسلم ہو یا غیر مسلم ہو۔ چونکہ یہ معاملہ انٹرنیشل سطح پر بہت زیادہ ڈسکس ہورہا ہے اس لئے میڈیا بھی اس پر بہت زیادہ وقت صرف کررہا ہے دوسری جانب کچھ ہی دن پہلے یونان کے سمندر میں غیرقانونی تارکین وطن کی کشتی ڈوب گئی۔ اس حادثہ میں سینکڑوں افراد اپنی جان سے گئے۔ اگرچہ اس پر بھی میڈیا میں بات ہوئی لیکن کیا انٹرنیشنل میڈیا پر اتنی کوریج دیکھنے کو ملی جتنی ٹائی ٹینک آبدوز کو مل رہی ہے؟
دونوں جگہ انسان ہی جان سے گئے لیکن اتنا تضاد کیوں؟ یونان کے قریب ڈوبنے والے بحری جہاز میں وہ افراد سوار تھے جن کی آنکھوں میں بہتر مستقبل کے خواب تھے اور دوسری طرف آبدوز میں وہ افراد تھے جو ٹائی ٹینک کی باقیات کو دیکھنا چاہتے تھے۔ فرق صرف یہ ہے کہ امیروں کے خواب بھی امیروں جیسے ہوتے ہیں۔
تحریر کے درمیان میں ضمنا ٹائی ٹینک کا تذکرہ کردوں کہ دنیا میں جب سے شپ انڈسٹری قائم ہوئی ہے اس وقت سے جہاز اور کشتیاں ڈوب رہی ہیں۔ ٹائی ٹینک کا حادثہ ایک بڑا حادثہ تھے جس میں تقریبا دو ہزار افراد جان سے گئے اور تقریبا سات سو کو بچا لیا گیا۔ ٹائی ٹینک کے بارے میں اس لئے زیادہ لوگ جانتے ہیں کیونکہ اس پر فلم بنائی گئی۔ اب یہ بات بھی سوچنے کی ہے کہ فلم کی اسٹوری کی وجہ سے صرف ایک جوڑے کو ہی ہم سب جانتے ہیں۔ فلم میں فوکس بھی اس نوجوان جوڑے پر کیا گیا اور فلم دیکھنے والے تمام لوگوں کی ہمدردیاں ٹائی ٹینک میں موجود دو ہزار افراد میں سے صرف اس جوڑے کے ساتھ ہی ہیں۔ بقیہ کے بارے میں کوئی فیلنگز ہی نہیں۔ اس سے یہ بات بھی واضح ہوتی ہے کہ عام زندگی میں بھی اہمیت اسی کی ہوتی ہے جو کسی بھی طرح لائم لائٹ یا فوکس میں آجائے، دیگر افراد کے بارے میں کوئی بھی نہیں سوچتا۔
یونان کی کشتی میں جو لوگ جاں بحق ہوئے ان غریبوں پر کوئی فوکس نہیں اور انٹرنیشنل سطح پر تو اس پر توجہ بھی نہیں دی جارہی کیونکہ ان کے مرنے سے کسی کو کوئی فرق نہیں پڑتا۔ ہاں ان کے زندہ رہنے پر فرق پڑتا کیونکہ وہ تو یورپ کیلئے ذمہ داری بن جاتے۔ یہی وجہ ہے کہ پانچ امیر افراد جن کو یورپ یا انٹرنیشنل کمیونٹی اپنا اثاثہ مانتی ہے، ان کے مرنے پر بات بھی زیادہ کی جارہی ہے۔ وہ امیر تھے شائد اسی لئے ان کو اہمیت زیادہ دی جارہی ہے۔ حالانکہ انسانیت کا تقاضہ تو یہ ہے کہ دونوں پر یکساں افسوس کیا جائے اور ہمیں دونوں پر افسوس ہے بھی۔ مجھے یہ بھی حیرانی ہے کہ آبدوز کا سفر کرنے والے جو تمام پڑھے لکھے تھے، عقل و فہم رکھتے تھے کیسے انہوں نے سیکورٹی کے معاملات نظرانداز کردیے اور حفاظتی اقدامات کو یقینی نہیں بنایا۔ ان تمام باتوں کا تو اب تذکرہ بھی ہورہا ہے۔ دوسری جانب یونان میں جاں بحق ہونے والے تو ایجنٹوں کے ہاتھوں یرغمال تھے اور اب یہ بھی تمام باتیں سامنے آرہی ہیں کہ ایجنٹ پیسے لینے کے باوجود کیسا غیر انسانی سلوک کرتے ہیں۔

Hope you are well. Today, I would like to address a recent tragic event that has been making headlines worldwide—the submarine disaster related to the Titanic. Five lives were lost, including Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman Dawood. This incident has rightfully garnered significant attention from the mainstream media and the public.
Undoubtedly, any loss of human life is a tragedy, regardless of one’s faith or background. It is natural to grieve over such incidents. However, it is crucial to reflect on the contrasting media coverage given to different tragedies. Just a few days ago, a boat carrying illegal immigrants sank in the Greek sea, resulting in the loss of hundreds of lives. While it did receive some media attention, it pales in comparison to the coverage dedicated to the Titanic submarine incident.
Both incidents involved the loss of human lives, yet there seems to be a major contradiction in the attention they receive. The boat near Greece carried individuals with dreams of a better future, while the submarine attracted tourists who wished to witness the remnants of the Titanic. The only discernible difference is that dreams of the wealthy tend to garner more attention.
It is’worth noting that maritime disasters have occurred since the advent of the ship industry. The Titanic disaster, although significant, is widely known due to its portrayal in a movie. Furthermore, the film focuses primarily on a young couple, causing viewers to empathize with them among the thousands on board. The majority of individuals’ stories remain untold and overlooked. This emphasizes the unfortunate reality that in life, only those in the limelight or in focus truly matter, while others go unnoticed.
The Impoverished individuals who lost their lives in the Greek boat incident are not receiving the same level of attention, both domestically and internationally. Their deaths seem inconsequential to the world at large. However, had they survived, they would have been perceived as burdensome liabilities by Europe. This biased treatment can be attributed to the fact that the five individuals who died in the submarine disaster were considered assets by Europe and the international community due to their wealth.
As human beings, we should extend our condolences and empathy to all victims, regardless of their economic status. It is disheartening to witness the disproportionate focus on the rich while neglecting the plight of the less privileged. Additionally, I find it astonishing that the submariners, educated and intelligent individuals, overlooked safety protocols and failed to ensure the passengers’ well-being. Similarly, the stories emerging about the inhumane treatment by agents towards those on the Greek boat highlight the disregard for human life, despite financial transactions taking place.
